On our journey towards the locations featured in A Christmas Carol we will take in some other Dickens sights. Let's explore the area where Dicken's worked as a junior Clerk. From the mysterious Inns of Court he took inspiration that would later find it's way in to David Copperfield, Great Expectations, and Martin Chuzzlewit.
A Tavern with Cellars dating to the 13th Century. This Pub was a haunt of Dickens and a meeting place for the Hellfire Club. David Copperfield drinks here in the Novel of the same name. Shall we rest by the fire and warm up with some Mulled Wine?

Richard was very knowledgeable, not just about the Dickens tour, but overall London history. A great experience.

Informative tour through Dickens’ London with a well-versed guide. A great time even if you’re not a diehard Dickens fan, but quite out-standing if you are.

This tour was a highlight of our London Christmas Trip this year. Richard's ability to weave the story of Dickens childhood, the history of London during that time period, and the "A Christmas Carol" story was wonderful. If you get a chance to take a tour with him, don't miss. Thank you Richard.

The journey through this part of London and the life of Charles Dickens and his works was magical. Stories we only half really knew came to life. Richard captured ours and our three teenagers imagination with the youngest commenting on how passionate he was in his delivery and his obvious love for the author and the history of these amazing places. Absolutely recommend. Would do it again. Brilliant experience.

Great tour to learn about Charles Dickens. Our guide was fun and knowledgable. Also fun if A Christmas Carol or Oliver are going on during the holidays.

This was like taking a trip through history. Our tour guide was so knowledgable, often quoting directly from the text, and gave us so much insight into Dickens and that time period...seeing it around the holidays was a great way to get in the Christmas Spirit! Highly recommend.

We enjoyed the entire tour, especially Richard’s knowledge of “old” London. Loved wandering down the small side alleys, seeing Dicken’s pubs and locations where he lived and worked.
