On our journey towards the locations featured in A Christmas Carol we will take in some other Dickens sights. Let's explore the area where Dicken's worked as a junior Clerk. From the mysterious Inns of Court he took inspiration that would later find it's way in to David Copperfield, Great Expectations, and Martin Chuzzlewit.
A Tavern with Cellars dating to the 13th Century. This Pub was a haunt of Dickens and a meeting place for the Hellfire Club. David Copperfield drinks here in the Novel of the same name. Shall we rest by the fire and warm up with some Mulled Wine?

This was my second time to take this tour, so obviously I enjoyed it! My family loves the Christmas Carol, so I had to bring my kids (ages 17, 14, 10, and 7) on the tour to see all the sites that inspired Charles Dickens. They all enjoyed the tour and my husband said it was his favorite tour of the trip. Richard is very knowledgeable and leads a great tour. We hope to get back to London and do his Ted Lasso tour next time.

Richard was very knowledgeable, kept a good pace and was very personable. He knows his stuff and gave educated guesses of Dickens' locations when not otherwise indicated. Strongly recommend.

I was surprised how much we saw, relating to CD & the story . It was excellent. A really interesting walk in its own right . My friend lives in London , knew the area & yet was thrilled with all the new sites she saw & history she learnt.

Richard was so great! We were the only two on the tour, but he still took the time to explain all about Charles Dickens - his life and writings. The way he wove the narrative of Dickens’s life with words from his books was incredibly compelling. He truly loves what he does, and loves sharing it. I dare you to go on the tour and NOT want to reread A Christmas Carol again. Thanks Richard!

Informative tour through Dickens’ London with a well-versed guide. A great time even if you’re not a diehard Dickens fan, but quite out-standing if you are.
