Hi, I am Mark, your experienced guide and I offer a fun and informative tour, with stories of not just history, but the people who lived in the town and the characters that make the town what it is today.
You will start off by meeting ‘Nelson’ our ‘Grand Old Man of the Sea’ and from there we will wind our way through the beautiful harbour town, the hidden backstreets, the quay side and the wonderful bridge ending up at our magnificent beachfront and ‘Banjo Pier’
Along the way learn about the history of the town, its building and its people. See the hidden streets and buildings that you wouldn’t normally see, and hear stories fo the characters that have worked here .
The tour is fun, light and informative, and you are free to ask me questions to make the most of your experience.
I will recommend local places to eat and drink, and know the area well.

What To Expect
Looe
Exploring the streets and haunts of East and West Looe, you will discover tales of the characters who lived here, the history behind the town and stories about how the town got to be how it is today. We spend 90 minutes exploring and discovering the hidden gems of our beautiful harbour town. Some of the attractions are listed below, but many are hidden away that only we will discover!!
We will spend time on Pennyland meeting 'Nelson' and then talk about the old Sardine Factory, the influence of the fishing industry, before heading to West Looe Quay and beyond

5.00Thank you Mark for a fascinating walking tour of Looe. Time flew by as we experienced Looe present day and in the past. Your local knowledge was exemplary and you made the historic sites come alive with really interesting stories and fun anecdotes. We both learned so much about Looe and Cornwall. We enjoyed going off the beaten track to see hidden Looe that we would not have experienced. We particularly enjoyed hearing about your family and your connection to the town. Could not have been better. The dogs enjoyed it too!!!! Thank you.
