See the land where The Lord of the Rings trilogy were filmed. After a complimentary hotel pickup, you will arrive and meet your helicopter pilot. You will fly along the Shotover River, over the mountain range from the opening scene of The Two Towers on the way to landing on a glacier alongside the Misty Mountains and get a sense of what it might be like to cross The Redhorn Pass. You will head across to Glenorchy via the Dart Valley and Mt Earnslaw to see the natural features you may better recognize as Isengard, Amon Hen and Lothlorien. This 70 min excursion will conclude with a drive back to your hotel in Queenstown.

This was a great first helicopter tour for us. Jeremy was an excellent pilot! He rotated us through the cabin so that all of us had chances to see views from the front and different sides of the helicopter. The view of the mountain ridges and the glaciers were some of the most incredible things we have ever seen.

Great experience and amazing scenery - our first helicopter ride. Improvements could be made tho in sound quality as both of us heard very little of what the pilot said during the trip, which was a LOTR trip with a pilot who worked there during filming, so that communication was to be part of what we paid for as we're huge LOTR fans. And we got very very little of that. Addl - don't know if headphones are sanitized between rides, but each of us wore 3 different ones during the trip, so if someone had communicate disease issues, it was certainly passed around through handling and wearing of those. Pilot was almost too professional/aloof -and was clock watching - too keep on schedule I'm sure - but we were delayed before taking off and he was visibly upset by that

The views were INSANE! It was a truly magical experience. We had Jeremy as our pilot and he was amazing. I didn't feel nervous at all. A must do as long as you aren't afraid of heights. Plus, landing on the glacier was an experience of a lifetime.

The team were all so friendly and attentive. You are looked after from the point of booking to when you arrive. The flight was amazing and the pilot is very knowledgeable. He found the best spots to land in order to maximise the views and very happy to take photos of our family. The stop on the glacier will be a lifetime memory.

Amazing experience! One of the best in NZ. Doing the aerial tour of Queenstown, LOTR locations and the glacial landing was spectacular! Jeremy was amazing! Just loved everything about this experience and can’t recommend it enough!

We had an unbelievable trip with Michael as the pilot/guide. Though weather didn't permit a Glacier landing, the vistas at the landing spots, the spectacular nature around Queenstown that we got a closeup birds-eye view it of more than made up for that. Informative background commentary of the different movie locations, spectacular scenery and exiting flying really make the the experience something special. Thanks again for a great ride!
