What To Expect
Louvre Museum
1 - Entering by the Sully medieval section to uncover the origin and evolution of the palace's construction. 2 - Exploring the Antiquity department, the Ancient Greek Etruscan and Roman sculptures featuring the Venus of Milo and The Winged Victory of Samothrace. 3 - Apollo Gallery where are exposed the French crown Jewels. 4 - The square Lounge and the Great Gallery which houses the Italian masters like Giotto's Saint Francis Receiving the Stigmata, Botticelli, Fra Angelico, Mantegna, Raphael's belle jardinière, Caravaggio's death of the virgin, Veronese's wedding at cana, Titian and Da Vinci's saint john the Baptist and the Mona Lisa. - 5 French Neoclassical and Romantic tableaux such as David's coronation of Napoleon, Gericault's Raft of the Medusa and Delacroix's liberty guiding the people.

5.00Simply superlative. If you want a custom tour or something simple Pierre is awesome. He led us from Monet’s gardens to Bayeux and the the beaches at Normandy and the Mont Saint Michelle. A castle on the Loire, the cathedral at Chartres, Notre Dame in Paris. He is a jewel of a guide. So blessed.

5.00We had a great tour with Nabila. She was very personable, knowledgeable and overall lovely person. She led us through the highlights of the louvre, the history of the objects, as well as the history of the museum itself. It was a well priced private tour, my only note was that the tour said 2.5 hours, but our tour only lasted 2 hours, and I hadn’t realized the discrepancy till I looked up the itinerary to write the review. Nevertheless, I highly recommmend this tour with Nabila.

5.00This January we took a mother-daughter trip to Pairs with just myself (mom) and my 17-year-old daughter. We were referred by a friend to Pierre-yves and did a two day excursion with him. We saw Versailles and Montmartre on day 1 and on day 2 a city tour, including the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower. Each day he picked us up at our hotel in his private vehicle, and drove us to our locations. Day 1 we had mentioned to him in passing that we had yet to have amazing croissants, so on day two he actually had them waiting for us in the backseat of the car, which was so very sweet and kind. His extensive knowledge of not only world history and events, but also his complex understanding of art and its interplay with politics of the time was beyond comparison. He really was able to put the pieces that we were seeing and the architectural style into perspective with what was going on politically at the time. He was also able to keep everything light and fun for my 17-year-old daughter by showing her interesting places that were popular on the Internet or things that were seen in the Netflix series Emily in Paris. He was more than happy to include unplanned stops during our tour to include places that she saw on Instagram and wanted to visit. We took several of his dining recommendations that were not on our radar and I have to say I was more impressed with the restaurants and the bars that he recommended than anything that I had seen on travel websites or on Pinterest. He was available to us, even after our tour ended for the next couple of days through WhatsApp, to help us with more dining recommendations, and reservations to some champagne tasting bars. Also to note, he does speak perfect “American style “ English as his wife is an American. He has a very fun and flexible guide in addition to his extensive knowledge of Paris, France, world history, art architecture and politics. We will definitely contact him again on our next trip to Paris and plan to use him for excursions to both Champaigne,Normandy , and the Loire valley region in the future.

5.00We spent several days touring Paris with Pierre-Yves and I he helped us maximize our time as we only had a few days to tour. We saw many areas and he managed to hit all the highlights without feeling rushed . He knows his way around, speaks English well, and is a wealth of historical information . I would highly recommend his services and won’t hesitate to use him again in the future !

5.00We had the full day private group tour of Paris and thought it absolutely necessary to provide a review of our experience with Pierre-Yves. It has provided an excellent Service by going BEYOND AND BEYOND ensuring that we not only get a complete history and context of all the main monuments of France, but it has also taken additional steps to take care of us. We had several requests and he responded to each of them, personalizing the visit of our group. He knows very well not only the art of the Louvre, but also the architecture and history of all the buildings we have passed through as well as the city. Pierre-Yves made us live a complete Parisian experience by passing monuments and secret places with stunning views to take photos, took us by boat, train and even bus. He stayed with us all day until the start of the Eiffel Tower tour. After our visit, he booked us dinner reservations at a restaurant he recommended and told the staff that we were in a hurry and that our Service should be expedited. He helped us adjust our plans after the visit to ensure we would not miss our train home and followed up to confirm that we arrived on time. It was friendly, funIt was the best tour guide we have ever been with in any country and will highly recommend it to anyone we know visiting Paris. Thank you Pierre-Yves!

5.00Pierre-Yves is a gem! He made our experience stress free and VIP. He met us at the Louvre and took us in through a private entrance avoiding all lines. He is patient, kind, extremely knowledgeable and professional. He has a true passion for art history and can explain so many details that we would have missed had he not been guiding us through. We are truly thankful to have connected with Pierre and would highly recommend!

5.00Pierre-Yves created an unforgettable experience at the Lourve. While I've been a few times before, our visit with Paris Guided was entirely different. Pierre-Yves' deep knowledge of French history brought new meaning to the art. It was the first time I didn't feel overwhelmed by the vast collection at the museum. Pierre-Yves knew exactly how to navigate the different exhibits to give us a truly rich experience. Besides his knowledge, Pierre-Yves is the charming French man with perfect English who will make any tour fun and entertaining. He is who you want to help you discover the hidden gems of Paris! I'd do this tour or any of his tours again!

5.00Pierre-Yves is the best! I absolutely recommend Paris Guided to take you not only to the Louvre or Orsay, but to any Paris landmark, church, museum, park or historical area! His knowledge of all that is Paris is amazing. I learned so much history about every place we visited! He can cater any tour for any age and group just to your liking. He will even find the perfect lunch or dinner spot and get you to and from every monument and area in real Parisienne fashion. He is a true gourmet cook and wine connaisseur and and find you the hidden gems that one wouldn’t find in your average guide book. He is worth it! An absolute must for any Paris trip.
