The trail leading to the entrance of Lower Antelope Canyon is composed of Navajo sandstone making the decent to the canyon entrance both rocky and sandy, for our guests’ safety and comfort we advise appropriate shoes be worn. As you begin your 1 – 1.5-hour adventure (all-walking) with Lower Antelope Canyon Tours, your experience will span roughly 1,800 meters (1.1 miles) round trip. Tour was amazing. Well paced. Tour guide told us to take our time and enjoy the scene. Don’t have to rush. He took our pictures and everything was great!

If you are wondering whether or not you should go, you MUST go! If you are wondering which company to use, you MUST use Dixie’s. I am currently on a girls trip with my aunt and 91 year old grandma. My grandma was worried about going into the canyon but she was determined to do it. She wanted to see the beauty it has to offer! Our tour guide Isaiah looked over grandma SO well! She was patient and kind as we navigated everything slowly. Once we were 5 minutes into the hike, Isaiah was so thoughtful and made sure we had the opportunity to take breaks. That is when Staci came to the rescue! Staci is truly amazing at her job. She took incredible care of my grandma and made sure her experience was top notch. You could have not asked for better customer service. Also the beauty in the lower canyon is so breathtaking that it is worth every step you take. Thank for go Dixie for making it the best experience possible!!

This is a beautiful and educational tour. Our guide Armando was wonderful. He was kind, knowledgeable, and entertaining as well as helpful. He entertained us with flute music when we got backed up waiting during the tour, he took pictures for everyone of their groups and showed us the best settings on our cameras to use. He told us about native traditions, living conditions and language. Afterwards he demonstrated and explained how the canyons were formed. He spoke several languages so he was able to talk to everyone in our group.

In my opinion, both Upper and Lower Antelope Canyon have their own unique charms, though I find the colors and striations in Lower Antelope Canyon to be even more beautiful. Emerging from Lower Antelope Canyon is also a truly surreal experience—it feels just like climbing out of a fissure in the earth, which is quite fascinating. Furthermore, driving yourself to Lower Antelope Canyon is very convenient, as it spares you the need to take a lengthy shuttle ride. Visiting Upper Antelope Canyon, on the other hand, involves a much longer shuttle journey and consumes significantly more time.
