A unique little village on the banks of the Mekong River. Ban Xang Hai, is also known as whisky village, is famous for their handicraft products like distilling and selling whisky, hand woven fabric and jewelry.
Pak Ou Caves
These two caves are located some 25km from Luang Prabang where the Nam Ou River flows into the Meking. The journey on a slow moving longboat to caves is decidedly picturesque. Motoring upriver you can see locals fishing and listen to the joyful laugher of children splashing in the water. The caves are revered throughout Laos and a very popular place for tourists and pilgrimsalike. There are some 4000 statyes abd statyettes in the caves, mostly of the Buddha, many stukk covered with paper thin gilding. The first cave is reached by a steep staircase from the river’s edge, while the second cave is a little deeper inside the mountain: bring a torchilight!

The waterfalls are amazing... We would have liked to stay longer.... The meal, not bad but not very hot... Visiting the caves without much interest, the distillery rather nice. Finally, the cruise with sunset very... chill!

Excellent tour. Good value for money. Lots to see. Guide’s English was difficult to understand he could have provided more information. However, well worth doing. Particularly enjoyed feeding the elephants and the sunset boat tour

Very good day spent with a conscientious and professional guide. The sights visited lived up to my expectations as well as stops at the alcohol and textile villages with very good explanations of the guide. Impeccable buffet lunch with extra elephants. Only downside, the boat too old and too slow and not very reliable mechanically. Otherwise I had a great day, which I highly recommend!!

Very good experience. Mr. Ping-Pongo was attentive to every detail, and the other guide, his partner, was also very good and attentive. I recommend them 100%.

We really enjoyed the Luang Prabang cruise to the Pak Ou Caves combined with the Kuang Si Waterfalls tour. It was a very well-organized day and definitely worth it. Our guide, Mr. PingPong, was very good and helpful, and his nice sense of humor made the experience more fun. The Pak Ou Caves are absolutely worth visiting. Kuang Si Waterfalls were incredible — easily one of the highlights of the tour. The lunch with the elephants was also a unique and memorable experience. The stop to try local rice whiskey was another pleasant moment. Overall, this was a great tour that we would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Luang Prabang.

Visiting Kuang Xi falls and crushing the Mekong river was the highlight of our trip to Luang Prabang. Ping Pong was a great guide. He explained the itinerary including travel times to set the expectations. He was entertaining and informative at the same time. We recommend this tour when visiting.

The day was great, packed with activities. Our guide Mr. Pingpong made sure that everything went the right way. If you have little time in Nong Khiaw, this is the perfect tour for seeing the main attractions in one day
