In colder months this tour takes place in the morning for better light and temperature conditions. Gelato will be replace with a cake and coffee and there can be changes to stops due to different winter time openings.
This is mainly a biking tour, the best way to discover the whole city of Lucca especially the less known sights. Food and drink are included to give a relaxing break along the riding.
In case of rain we can not cancel the tour but we can give you the option to have a walking tour with the same itinerary.
Children are considered only if under 12 and they will have a children bike and a children menu

What To Expect
Lucca
Your tour begins at the Railway station (at the main entrance) and in few yards we reach the rental shop to take our bikes and to be ready for the discovery of this fascinating bike friendly town. You will soon realize how the green space and the bike routes give a privilege visit of Lucca.
Le Mura di Lucca
The ride continues on the top and around the town walls: you will enjoy an outstanding view of the city centre, a gorgeous vista on the surrounding countryside and understand the history and the construction of the fortification during the centuries. Your guide will give you the chance to explore secret passages and hidden sites that you couldn't find on your own.

5.00This tour is a must-do when visiting Lucca! The bike ride provides a balance of history, views of the city, varied stops, and delicious food. Plan to park just outside the bicycle tour stop, easily accessible outside of the city's walls. Our tour guide, Antonella, was amazing. She shared history all along the route, pausing often for us to stop, look around, and ask questions. We explored below one of the ramparts, giving us inside access to the wall in a unique way. We had time for a little shopping before enjoying a filling appetizer stop and glass of wine. The tour went both on the wall and into the city without taking us into overly crowded areas. We had options about which areas to explore and plenty of stops for pictures. Our final stop was for gelato, a delicious way to end a memorable experience! For this ride, we did not have electronic bikes. There are a couple of hills throughout the tour as you ride up to the wall, so be prepared for doing some pedaling up inclines. Plan to bring your own bottled water. Each bike has a basket for your belongings and a map of the city for reference. Our guide, Antonella, went above and beyond to share her love of Lucca. She gave us recommendations for dining and suggestions on where we might park for free for future trips to the city. This tour offers a relaxing way to see the city with a local guide; definitely add it to your list if you are traveling in the area!

5.00We enjoyed the first tour in October so much we booked again and had Antonella as our guide both trips. She is absolutely lovely. She is a Lucca local. Her love and passion for the FREE city of Lucca is a whole vibe of its own. The ride is easily navigable and beautiful. Without the tour you have no idea of the deep history of the tiny titan of a city. Once inside the walls, she explains the many facets that make this great City incredible. We also stopped inside the colosseum for local meats and cheeses, local wine and then onto gelato. I loved it! Book with Antonella for the best experience and draw from her knowledge.
