Throughout your exploration, our knowledgeable guide, will accompany you, providing fascinating insights into the region's rich history, vibrant present, cultural customs, language and traditions. Starting with a convenient hotel pick-up, we'll whisk you away from Kriens to Sonnenberg, offering an unforgettable perspective of Lucerne during the funicular journey (available in summer only). Subsequently, our guide will lead you through an idyllic path.
You'll have the opportunity to visit a farm and explore their shop, where you can acquire local produce. Additionally, we'll taste some of locally made cheese.
At the end, your guide will ensure a safe return to the Lucerne Train Station.

Beautiful Hiking and Farm Tour

5.00Our tour guide, Amalia, made this such a great experience. She met us at our hotel which made navigation and transportation very easy and not stressful. We rode a historic funicular up Sonnenberg. The views from the top and the dairy farms we visited were so beautiful. This tour involved a lot of walking/hiking through gorgeous scenery. Amalia knew exactly where to take us— no place we went to was touristy or crowded. She was a funny, engaging, and knowledgeable tour guide who spoke excellent English and put us all at ease. The picnic of farm-fresh products with a view of the mountains, lake, and city of Lucerne was a highlight of our entire 16-day trip through Europe. The cheese, fruit, and bread Amalia picked out was so delicious. We were able to see the well-cared-for cows up-close and hear the cowbells of more cows who were in the pastures. Walking through Swiss countryside and forest gave us so many different views and perspectives of the landscape. It was an ideal tour to spend time in nature, take a closer look at small dairy farms in Switzerland, and take gorgeous photos.

5.00Dave was an AMAZING tour guide. We didn't know what to expect with this farm tour, but it went beyond our hopes. Walking through local farms, learning about the history of the region and eating delicious cheeses was unique, fun and entertaining. I would give this 6 stars or more if possible. Highly recommend!

5.00Tour Guide Dave was very informative and friendly. The tour was light on cheese and farms (1 farm stop and 1 packaged cheese tasting). However, the information we learned about Switzerland from Dave was worth it and the views were nice. There was also a cool historic funicular involved.

5.00Such an amazing tour with Lou. Perfect way to spend a day in the countryside just outside the city. Beautiful farms and experience. The fresh cheese was amazing and the scenery was the cherry on top. Lou was the perfect guide. Knowledgeable, friendly, and so prepared with everything you could need. Highly recommend this tour! One of our favorites guides from any vacation to date.
