5.00Luis Miguel is amazing! I was travelling solo so he let me sit up front with him and my 6 new friends were able to stay together in the back part of the van. Luis is very customer oriented and will do whatever is required to make sure you have a wonderful time. He took us on a tour of the far side of the island while sharing his vast knowledge of the history, culture, and current status of Sao Tome. I highly recommend!

5.00Owner/operator packs in as many sights as possible while still ensuring that you won’t miss your boat. Fantastic tour and likely the best on offer in São Tomé for cruise passengers. Especially those interested in seeing the nations signature sight - Dog’s Tooth Peak!

5.00Our guide was exceptionally flexible because there were times with no internet about our cruise ship making it difficult to communicate. Once adore at São Tomé, we discovered that we had no internet with which to communicate with him again. We returned to the ship, and were able to plan our trip before returning to the island. Our guide was very articulate and well educated, polite and courteous.
Book Luis! You won’t be disappointed.

5.00Luis was an exceptional guide. Fantastic English, extremely knowledgeable and very accommodating. He tailored our itinerary to make sure we got to/from the cruise port within the time restraint that we had but without compromising our experience. We were a party of 8 arriving in the port via tender. We requested two 4x4 vehicles so that we were all comfortable on the terrain as we’d heard about the roads being a little bumpy! He communicated with us from the time of booking and answered every question within hours. The second driver spoke little English but that was fine as Luis jumped from one vehicle to the other so we all had the best experience. This was our choice as we could have had a mini bus and just Luis. I would highly recommend him for a tour in São Tomé. Thanks for a great day and experience 10/10. Side note: don’t blame the guide if your ship doesn’t tender due to the weather, that’s the risk of any tender port tour if you don’t take the ships tour!
Our ship did not stop in Sao Tome, but we were charged for half of our tour!!!

1.00Our ship Norvegian Sun can not make a stop. We notify our tour guide, but he charged us half of price our never happened tour. It is wrong!!!

5.00We visited every attractions that we asked for. Luis Miguel was there when we needed. Our guide Ayrist was accommodating and knowledgeable. Our car broke down during the trip and Luis responded promptly to rescue us. Traveling in a SUV is much better than in a large bus. It's an excellent tour overall.

Beware the “Bait and Switch”

3.00Luis Miguel called me the night before the tour to tell me he was not available for what I booked (Ilheu das Rolas). But he said he had a colleague who could do the tour. However, this “friend” did not seem like a qualified or experienced tour guide. He gave almost no information the whole day. At the first stop, he got out of the car and disappeared without saying anything. He seemed rushed and distracted the entire time. We did not go to Porto Alegre or Praia Yam as promised in this tour. I had to pay 40 EUR to a rather unfriendly boat driver. The guide (Jailson) asked me to take pictures of him as if he had never been to these places before. $120 is more than most Sao Tomeans make in a month so Luis Miguel must be doing quite well for himself. Unfortunately, I cannot rate him as a tour guide because he was not there. I do not suggest you accept one of his “friends” as a substitute.
