5.00Ian is very knowledgeable about everything “Beatles” and he gave us a lovely tour all round Liverpool to see where the Beatles lived, Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields etc etc. would highly recommend this personalised tour with Ian. He’s also a really nice guy

5.00So enjoyable. Ian has an infectious personality and we all felt comfortable with him before we had even got in the cab! We were a group of 6 and not particularly Beatles fans but this trip was well worth every penny and we would all recommend Ian was friendly and so knowledgeable.

5.00Our experience was way above expectations and was the highlight of our trip to the UK. Clare Dermott was our guide and could not have been more passionate and thoughtful, full of stories and information I have never heard/read about the Beatles, showing sensitivity to maintain space with residents, taking ample pictures for us, sharing list of suggested/recommended books. I would do it again. Clare is a gem, a treasure and Ian was very helpful and accommodating. I was not prepared for such a [rubber] soulful tour and would do it again.

5.00This was the highlight of our trip. I have taken a Beatles bus tour before, but this covered more ground, took you to more places, and gave way more insight. The guide was fantastic. Highly recommend.

5.00Ian is amazing! Could not be more friendly or knowledgeable. The tour exceeded our expectations. His taxi is the best, super comfy and quiet, save the music playing of course! We ended up on an almost 4 hr long tour, really great! I highly recommend this gentleman and his offering!

5.00My son and I had a great time with Ian who was super knowledgeable about the origins of all the Beatles and obviously cares about what he does. The cab itself was cool, immaculate and comfortable, highly recommend this tour.

5.00My wife and I took the tour with Ian on Sunday, Dec.20th. We very much preferred the intimate experience of our tour to one on a larger bus setting because we could ask questions and have conversations about wherever we were visiting. Ian not only knows his Beatles lore and all the perfect stops to make around the city, he was also able to answer non-Beatle questions as we noticed other blue plaques along our route. (eg We now know who invented the football goal net!) Ian is very personable and is an excellent ambassador for Liverpool. We highly recommend!

5.00The Mad Day Out taxi tour, was the highlight of our Beatles visit to Liverpool. Ian was a fantastic guide, friendly, and welcoming, he immediately put us at our ease. He was able to tailor the tour to our level of knowledge and mobility and fitted so much in that the seven hours just flew by. Ian was meticulously prepared, with supporting materials, photos and documents, alongside recommendations for further listening and reading. The taxi was beautifully decorated, comfortable and excellent for travelling around Liverpool. Ian knew every single location and was able to give important information about how it related to the Beatles, and how they would have gotten about the city both before and after Beatlemania. In our opinion this is simply the best way to experience the wider city and how it shaped the Beatles.

5.00Booking and communicating with Ian was very easy and he was extremely accommodating. He is a wealth of information and took us all over Liverpool showing us numerous sites supported with narration and backstories the entire way. We made several stops for photos and he enhances each with amplified information and historical photos he carries with him.. I highly recommend this fun and thorough tour with a guide who is a devoted Beatles fan and an appreciative musician. He will also answer questions about activities post tour.
