My husband and I are massive Beatles fans. We learned so much from Ian that we didn’t know. His knowledge and delivery is insanely good. What a lovely down to earth guy. It was worth every penny and more to be honest. Can’t recommend enough and we will ensure to tell anyone coming to Liverpool to give you a shout. Looking forward to coming back again with our son. Thanks again. ☮️🎸

Great tour guide with interesting anecdotes and background on the early lives of the Beatles and the Liverpool area. Stopped for pictures at many former Beatle childhood homes and neighborhoods and an extended stop at the Strawberry Fields center for pictures, refreshments and souvenir shopping. Listened to select Beatles tunes that enhanced the narrative during a great trip down memory lane with two Baby Boomers onboard and provided a new perspective of the era for a teenage family member accompanying us.

Excellent experience from start to finish. There were 6 of us and our Beatles knowledge ranged from big fans to some of us with little knowledge at the start. There was so much packed into the tour and some fantastic photo opportunities. The taxi was brilliant and really made the day. Thank you Ian we are so glad we chose Mad Day Out!!!

Our guide Ian was friendly, knowledgeable and a great guide for our Beatles tour .Picked us up at our hotel promptly and after the tour dropped us off at our requested place, even took photos for us . Real good value for money so much more than the bus tour . Gave us a real insight to the founding of the Beatles from early years onwards. A definite must for all Beatles fans

Absolutely amazing experience with Ian! We are a group of seniors from the US who grew up on the Beatles and we were blown away by how much we learned. Ian was super organized and had pictures to supplement each location so we could see how it looked “back then” and how the Beatles looked. Definitely great to do a small group tour rather than one of the big buses. We were able to get out at places where we would have had to stay on the large buses if we had done it that way. Cannot recommend this tour enough!!

We were a party of 4 and Ian picked us up from our Hotel in the city centre. Once we met Ian we were straight into the tour, totally immersed in the experience. What he doesn't know about the Beatles isn't worth knowing. His storytelling of how all the members of the band came together is so interesting. It was an information pack 3 hours from start to finish. We were taken all over Liverpool to get up close to the famous landmarks and all the houses where they all grew up in. We would thoroughly recommend this in a heartbeat, superb value for money. Ian even dropped us at our evening venue at the end of the tour. Thanks Ian, you were great.

Wow what a way to get the Beatles history. A great way to see the sights and learn the quirky facts told by a great chap. Very friendly and tailors the tour to what you want to see and do. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

I booked the two hour Ludwig Tour for myself and my mum. I have done private tours with Ian before and it was a delight. I always thought that I’m quite knowledgeable about the Beatles and their history but Ian is indeed an expert. To me, he is the Mark Lewisohn of Beatles tours. He is generous in giving detailed information and telling stories about each stop of the tour. He doesn’t rush with his explanation. If you will spend on a Beatles tour in Liverpool, better spend it with Mad Day Out Beatles Taxi Tours. It’s all worth it.

So enjoyable. Ian has an infectious personality and we all felt comfortable with him before we had even got in the cab! We were a group of 6 and not particularly Beatles fans but this trip was well worth every penny and we would all recommend Ian was friendly and so knowledgeable.
