5.00This exceeded our expectations. We saw so many places on our list. Luckily the weather worked out - the forecast was rain, but the weather was beautiful. We saw: Camara de Lobos (city of monk seals), Cabo Gerão, Sao vicente, Seixal, Porto Moniz, Ribeira da Janela, and the Fanal forest. We stopped for photos in many places: waterfalls, volcanic rock formations, lava pools, black beach, and others. We enjoyed ourselves so much we booked for the next day to see different spots around Madeira.
Brilliant day out with excellent guide! Highly recommend!

5.00We were lucky enough to have Dinarte as our tour guide for this and he was just brilliant! He tailored the day and experiences to suit our needs perfectly and we were thrilled to see so much of the island that we would otherwise have no idea about! Dinarte made sure we had regular stops so our daughter could run about but also for us to experience the island that he is clearly so passionate about. We started up in the cloudy mountains, went through the fern forest and ended up at the beach in Machico after having had a few stops at beauty spots and an excellent poncha at a traditional bar somewhere in the hills!! It was amazing, hugely knowledgeable guide, unbelievable scenery and just the best day out. Well worth the money and would highly recommend to anyone who wants to explore the real Madeira and break out from the town for a while. Thank you to Dinarte for making us feel welcome, safe and engaging with our daughter in the way you did, top man!

From the moment we met our guide Dinarte and his brother, it was clear that this is not just a tour company – it’s a group of people who genuinely love their island and are passionate about sharing it. What stood out most was the kindness and warmth of the guides. They made us feel like old friends rather than clients, taking time to get to know us and tailoring the experience to what we were most curious about. There was nothing rushed or scripted – everything felt personal and authentic. Their knowledge of Madeira’s history, culture, and nature is extraordinary. Whether we were walking through tiny villages, exploring the levadas, or tasting local food, our guides brought each place to life with stories, insights, and a true respect for the people and traditions of the island. Above all, you can feel how deeply they love Madeira. That pride and joy is contagious – by the end of the tour, we felt like we had not only discovered a stunning island, but also understood why it is so special to those who call it home. 5.00In our opinion, you can’t do Madeira without a tour— there’s just too much to see and too many hidden gems that our expert tour guide took us to. Our guide not only narrated our drives through the tour and was incredibly friendly and professional, but dropped us off at each location and let us have some alone time to explore. To us, this was WAY better than being crammed in a vehicle with others we don’t know. As a native of Madeira, all of his local connections and stories made the tour priceless. He picked us up at our air b&b and dropped us off after. We had pastries, toured mountains, got up close to a water fall and tried some local honey. If we return, we’d love to do another tour on the other side of the island!

I know more about the plants, history and culture of Madeira than i do my own country now! 5.00We had a brilliant half day tour exploring the north of the island with Spencer! He was incredibly knowledgeable and tailored a tour that ticked off all the sights we wanted to see. Would highly recommend! Only regret was not doing the full day so we could spend more time at each of the stops.

5.00We were a large group of neighbors who had a fabulous time! We were able to customize the tour and really enjoyed it. The company did an excellent job with communication, we’re in time, adjusted accordingly when rain caused a change of plans and were very attentive. This tour was a great value and the company was a joy to work with!!!
