Royal Palace of Madrid
The Royal Palace of Madrid isn't just a residence; it's a place steeped in grandeur and history. Although the current kings reside elsewhere, this majestic palace remains the setting for important state ceremonies and solemn occasions, making it come alive with its significance. Let's dive into its story now. While Juvarra's original vision didn't materialize, the Royal Palace stands proud as Europe's largest inhabited palace. The Spanish Royal Family might not call it home, but it still holds their official residence. Construction lasted until 1764, and when Carlos III finally inhabited it, the palace boasted a staggering 135,000 square meters, 3,418 rooms, 870 windows, 240 balconies, and an impressive 44 staircases. It's more than just facts and figures; this palace holds tales of splendor and tradition, making every step within its walls an encounter with the essence of Spanish history.

My husband and I had a wonderful time! It was nice to be able to communicate with the tour group via WhatsApp, which was very necessary as our train was arriving late. We were able to meet the group at the group gate and join the group!! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and kind!! We are very grateful for the experience!!

Decent tour. The guide was fun and informative. It was extremely crowded in the Palace and it felt a bit rushed. It was a large group as well.

This was for the Royal Palace tour by Golden Tour Guide. We received a notice that we were scheduled the next day at the Palace. The notice did not include a tour guide's name nor the exact location to meet and what to look for. All other tours we took through Spain, told us where to meet, who our guide was to be and look for the guide carrying a Red Flag (or another color). We showed up on time at the Palace, in the cold rain, and walked around looking for our guide. We asked a few other group guides and showed them our confirmation paperwork. None could help us though. We ended up paying to walk through the church next door to the palace. I have explained this to Golden Tour Guide through their email to me, and asked for a refund. I have not heard a peep back from them.

An excellent tour from Enriquez - very informative and easy to follow. Better than just walking around yourself especially as some of the signs in the palace are wrong. It also allowed us to get tickets when the palace website was showing sold out

The palace is overwhelming and absolutely stunning. There is so much history inside that we would not have known without Beatrice’s excellent guidance
