The guide provided a fantastic history of the region and the variety of wineries was excellent. Francisca, as a history teacher, provided rich detail about the history of Chilé and also a great overview of the wine industry in Chilé. The winery choices were varied, ranging from smaller, boutique wineries to larger scale operations, with excellent tastings at each. Great lunch restaurant as well at Zinfandel.

The vineyards are situated in the Maipo Valley which is surrounded by the Andes. Each one explained the Family history of the vineyard and the steps taken to produce the wine from the grape to the bottle. Premium wines were served as a tasting. A delicious lunch was served at a very nice restaurant. Our guide, Ramos was very knowledgeable and had an excellent sense of humor. This is a must do tour.

This tour is well designed and executed from the hotel pick-up to the winery visits. Each winery was a different experience. La Quirinca was a great tour of a young, small, organic farm and winery. Santa Ema taught us more about wine varietals with plants we could touch. Zin-fandel provided a delicious lunch. Viña Undurraga taught us about large scale production. All four locations had quality wines and knowledgeable guides. Sewing this experience together was Fran with her knowledge of local history and humor. Jefferson was our skillful driver. Our tour group shared a memorable experience and great conversation over the day.

This tour with the lovely Esme is the perfect way to escape the busy city and explore the fabulous Maipo Valley wine region. Esme was a fantastic guide who introduced our small group to 3 very different wineries. From small to big we were greeted warmly and enjoyed tours and tastings. Highly recommend this tour.
