Incredible Experience! Everett and Brad were great tour guides and drivers. I learned a lot and these guys had some insulated ponchos with hoods for us to use. Breakfast was fantastic. I would tell you it is very cold up top and I’d bring some gloves and maybe a knit cap and gator if I did it again.

We had a breath taking experience of Haleakalā sunrise ! We were picked up on time , provided with warm coats and tour guides Mr Everett and Mr Brad were very cooperative and well informed. They gave us all the info needed. In return the breakfast place was very good - tasty food and beautiful scenery in the Plantation Cafe. All in all would rate it a 5 Star !!

We experienced sunrise at Haleakala with Valley Isles excursions company and it was the highlight of our vacation. Abe was our tour guide and was professional, funny, safety-conscious, and made the whole experience fabulous. We arrived at the sunrise location in the park in plenty of time to get prime viewing spots and were not disappointed as the sun slowly put on a show. The tour company provided fleece-lined ponchos that were perfect for the cold, windy conditions. After a second stop to observe the volcano, we were treated to a wonderful breakfast at Maui Plantation. All along the way, Abe explained the significance of the sunrise and the mountain in the Hawaiian culture as well as sharing lots of information about the flora and fauna of the area. Looking at our pictures of the sunrise still fills me with wonder. If you do nothing but this excursion while in Maui, you won't be disappointed!

This was a great excursion! Pick up was on time. Our guide, Abe, did a fantastic job describing what we could expect on the drive up to the viewing site, as well as what to do to be safe while there. He shared Hawaiian history, culture, and, and language with all of us. Breakfast was hearty and we were back at our hotel by 10. Truly worthwhile!

A quick/easy pickup and a beautiful view of the sunrise! It was very nice not having to drive ourselves. Definitely bring layers as it is very cold on the mountain. My only critique would be that our guide was a bit *too* chatty for that early in the morning - a little more quiet time to nap at least during the 2-4 am time period would've been appreciated but overall a great experience!

I will admit the thought of being up by 2 am is NOT how I like to spend my vacation but after a local friend recommended the sunrise, I signed up. Abe was extremely nice and hospitable. They are the only tour group who provides ponchos and trust me you NEED it. I’m from nyc and had a lululemon jacket with a hood and the poncho was a must. You’re gonna be in the cold for 1.5 hours so plan ahead. Once the sun rises, it gets warmer and you forget about the terrible cold but trust me to plan accordingly. After this, we went to another spot to take more cool pictures and then ended eating at a lovely cafe in Maui plantation which is very nice. Sign up for this and make sure to Pack warm clothes and bring your camera(s). My pictures are amazing and I want to do it again! Ps: if you don’t have cash for tips, he does have Venmo. Highly recommend everyone provides gratuity as he goes above and beyond to provide an amazing tour of his hometown.

This tour was perfectly planned - arrived early enough to get a perfect spot for viewing, provided time post sunrise to enjoy the top and the breakfast was very tasty. Only downside was no coffee before breakfast but our bad as we should of grabbed before we left the ship!

It’s was a beautiful experience. Abe, our tour leader was friendly and full of interesting information. It was myself, husband and 3 kids aged 13,11,9. We made sure to layer up and take advantage of the parkas they provided. The wind at the summit can make the cold seem worse. The breakfast at the plantation mill was AMAZING- and the mill was a beautiful place to walk around, there is so much history there.
