Maligne Lake
Your 90-minute cruise of the lake starts dockside near the Maligne Lake Boathouse and Chalet. Boats leave approximately on the hour and your ticket is good for any trip during your selected day. After boarding, you will pull away from the dock and be treated to a fully narrated, interpretative tour of the area's unique history and special ecology. Each boat is glass enclosed and fully heated, ensuring you will stay warm while experiencing majestic views throughout the trip.
Spirit Island
From Spirit Island, which is only accessible by boat near the center of the lake, you will be treated to some of the most spectacular views found anywhere in the world. Jagged, snow-capped peaks ring a lake of vibrant blue water and ancient forest. Wildlife regularly prowl the shoreline, so keep your camera close and your senses alert as you scan the area for the eagles, bears and deer that call this area home. Expert and amateur photographers alike will be treated to incredible opportunities to attempt to document the natural splendor surrounding them, all the while recognizing that no photograph can do justice to the alpine scenery surrounding them. Each cruise last approximately 90 minutes, after which you will return to the boathouse where you can grab a warm beverage or bite to eat from the nearby lodge and chalet.

This was a nice boat ride to enjoy the views and get some interesting stories about the surroundings. The only down side was all the little mosquitos or bugs in the boat but we’re on water. They just need to open some windows in between sessions so bugs have. A chance to escape before the next tour.

Despite the weather, the rain held off which allowed us to experience this beautiful lake and surrounding landscape. The tour was a perfect mixture between boat cruise (not rough at all) together with an expert captain (sorry can’t remember name) and friendly and knowledgable tour guide (Lea). The boat cruise was broken up with a 15 min free-time stop on Spirit Island. The views are spectacular! Definitely a MUST tour.

We LOVED LOVED LOVED this tour. The views were spectacular and the stories and history from Kat were captivating. She knows so much and because she has been in the area a while, we got an amazing local perspective from her too. She actually rowed the entire distance of the cruise and beyond it in the past which was fascinating to hear about. She never once stopped smiling. I think she is the happiest tour guide I’ve ever met. She was even smiling as she helped the wonderful captain Grace anchor the boat at Spirit Island and back at the Maligne Lake boat house. She and Grace were a great team. I would do the tour again with them running the show any day!

This cruise was great! We went booked the 5:15 pm cruise on a Thursday evening and had a lovely time. Luckily no rain during our ride and our guide Mitchel and captain Steph were great and gave us a lot of information about the lake, island and history of the area. My family very much enjoyed the cruise and area. The only reason I don’t give it it five stars is that it is quite pricey for a 90 minute cruise. I think $50-$60 price would be more appropriate. Other than price I would book again!
