What To Expect
Mangrove Cay is a haven for marine and bird wildlife. In the channels and shallows surrounding the cay, it’s common to sight juvenile lemon sharks and nurse sharks, small turtles, conch, southern brown stingrays, starfish, and many types of juvenile fish. The sheltering and complex root systems of the larger mangrove trees often hide schools of tiny fish. Birdwatching is also great, and sightings include brown pelicans, green herons, tricolored herons, reddish egrets, and American oystercatchers.

5.00I went in wanting to see turtles, and this tour delivered! Easy to spot and sooo many. Lots of other wildlife as well. Wish we could have seen the lemon shark better, and our guide certainly tried, but they move fast and are hard to see.

5.00The whole experience from start to finish was great. Pickup and drop off was easy, our driver was kind and on time, and even brought back my husbands shoes he left! The actual experience was amazing and we saw baby sharks, turtles, conch, and jellyfish!

5.00We had a great time and definitely recommend this tour. The guys working it (our tour guide was Archie) did a great job and delivered what was promised. Baby sharks, conchas, turtles, we got to see it all, even though most of the time I forgot that I was sitting in a glass-bottom kayak, because you don’t really ever look down. Bottom line, 100% worth our money compared to some of the other tours we did, like the 4 hr snorkeling trip.

5.00Was a very fun experience … saw lots of turtles and a couple of baby sharks and conche. Met our driver by our hotel who took us to the Marina. There we met our guide Ashe who then hooked all of our kayaks together and pulled us to the mangroves. Once there we were unhooked and paddled through the mangroves while our guide pointed out the wildlife. Very enjoyable and not too strenuous. I’m approaching 70 and did not struggle.
