Step aboard the teak decks of elegant 1920s style yachts, Manhattan or Manhattan II, and enjoy a 2.75 hour cruise while learning about NYC's architectural landmarks from the water. The "Around Manhattan" tour narration, provided by members of the American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) NYC chapter, is general enough for visitors yet detailed enough for the locals.
Experience a comfortable and unique tour through the Hudson, East, and Harlem Rivers from a glassed-in observatory cabin, which has sliding windows for a fresh breeze, or wander to an open bow for more unobstructed views of the surrounding sites. On this cruise, guests will circumnavigate the island of Manhattan, passing under all 18 bridges, while taking in monuments, architecture, parks and infrastructure with narration throughout the cruise.
Important note: select departures on Friday afternoons will focus on Climate Change in and around New York City. Please call the operator directly for questions on the tour theme.
Service animals allowed
Public transportation options are available nearby
Suitable for all physical fitness levels
Guarantee of a full circumnavigation of Manhattan is not included. On rare occasions, the Spuyten Duyvil train bridge is inoperable and cannot open for us to pass through. This is often times not known until our tour is underway. River closures may also occur for a number of reasons. There are no refunds for tours that cannot fully circumnavigate. We will accommodate such cases with a tour that features a double backing of the route and further detail of the waterfront sites.
Service animals are permitted; Emotional Support animals and pets are not permitted

This was a perfect way to spend my husband’s birthday! The yacht was impeccable and the staff was wonderful! Our guide was very knowledgeable of not only the architectural design aspects but also of the history of manhattan! Great Tour! Would highly recommend it!

Well worth the trip - cruise all the way around the island of Manhattan on a modern, well appointed yacht. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, and there is no better way to view the entire city. As a frequent traveler to NYC, I learned so much more about the city and other areas to explore. A fabulous experience!

Maybe prepare before you go. Info comes very fast and I wasn't able to follow what she was talking about. But didn't bother me, the boat was excellent, views of the city are wonderful. Would take the tour again if we go back to NYC

The cruise is about 3 hours long and very interesting. It happened to be a beautiful day which made it pleasant to be outside. Please note the architect on board was extremely knowledgeable and did speak for most of the cruise. Some of the time it was a little difficult to understand exactly what was been highlighted. If you were seated inside you were expected to remain quiet so that all passengers could hear the speaker. Our group of 6 thoroughly enjoyed it and I would recommend it to tourists.

Fascinating boat trip round the whole island of Manhattan (2.75 hrs) - great to see the iconic views but also thrilled to see the almost rural top of the island. Our guide , Douglas, was very knowledgeable, did an excellent job of including everybody, and peppered his commentary with personal insights into his experience of Manhatten as his lifetime home. We had a lovely sunny day & the unexpected bonus of a French Air Force flyby - for which Capt Tim of the Classic Harbour Line found the perfect spot near the Statue of Liberty. Very pleasant boat with good sightlines & helpful professional staff. No better way to be introduced to the varied architecture of New York City. Highly recommended.

This tour was superb in every way! The staff was super friendly and considerate. The guide was very knowledgeable about everything. I will tell all my friends visiting NYC that this is a must for seeing the City, understand the architectural history of the City and being able to put the Island in perspective.

Excellent cruise around Manhattan, covering NY Harbor, Hudson, East River and Harlem Ricer. Going all the way to the northernmost point. Sail under bridges, large and small, see East and West side, Brooklyn waterfront, Gouvernier Island, Statue of Liberty, Marble Hill and Harlem and much more. Spectacular views, very knowledgable local guide who is an architect and plenty of light snacks and drinks. Great way to spend time on a nice morning or afternoon and to learn more of the city’s history, both official factual chronology and personal anecdotes from the architect. A good refresher on all the famous buildings and architectural styles in NY. We loved the tour, only giving 4 stars because the first boat had a technical problem and had to relocate to a smaller boat. The staff was excellent about keeping us informed and offering refreshments. Recommend to anyone and everyone who lives New York City, American history and architecture, or likes to take spectacular photos. There is definitely some rocking of the boat, so maybe not for those who suffer with sea sickness.
