This trip was doable for novice snorkelers. We were thrilled to see several Mantas and lots of mackerel.

I brought two of my adult children, my husband and myself. We had an incredible experience! I was quite nervous before starting, but it was truly wonderful, and I had nothing to fear. Our staff was fantastic and still had lots of energy even being the last group of the night! We had manta rays skimming us multiple times. My family all really loved this. Tips I wanted to know: you truly need nothing except your swimsuit, sandals, and perhaps a waterproof camera. I brought a towel, but it was stored, and I only had it back after disembarking at the boat ramp. I did get cold but toughed it out without a wet suit. No one else in my family felt cold. Parking was easy for the late time slot. Check-in went per the instructions. We were sent a text 3 hours before our scheduled time that we had been moved up 1 hour 20 minutes. It was plenty of time to get there from Waikola Village, but we gave ourselves a few free hours ahead, so not a problem.

We had the most amazing experience. Jake, Rory and Kalayla (hopefully I am spelling this right) were amazing. We saw 8 Manta Rays and tons of other sea life. Kalayla shared some super cool facts. We had a group of 9. Our youngest was 10 and we all felt safe and had a blast. I most definitely recommend this company. Thank you guys for such an awesome experience.

It is. Magical and surreal adventure. These gental giants are so graceful and beautiful. We loved this adventure. The “Mermaid” gave a wonderful description of the manta rays. Are only concern was that the children were not following the rules, keeping their legs up and their arms straight. It really diverted our attention from the manta rays. It would be nice to have an adult only boat.

The Manta Rays were wonderful however they don’t appear to clean their snorkeling equipment between customers! Our snorkel and mask were tossed back in a pile on the boat before the next group got on 10 minutes later! Not hygienic!

The experience on the boat and crew were awesome. We saw 7 Mantas!! The up front organization and communication were confusing. There is opportunity for improvement there. Lots of companies all on the same pier with no idea which boat is which. But we made it and overall it was an amazing experience.

This is an amazing adventure that everyone who comes to Kona needs to do! Our tour guides were absolutely amazing (and funny!) and very knowledgeable about the manta rays and the history of them in Kona. We ended up seeing up to 8 different manta rays and they get right up in your face, definitely breathtaking!! It’s an amazing experience and something we would definitely recommend!

wetsuit if you get cold easily. water temp is warm, tolerable. no amenity tour, guides & boat captain are experience, just that you dont get the fufu stuff other tour companies offer with charged priced. so, I don't mind, only bring onbard stuff you get wet with. go with an open mind, wild animals do not keep a schedule! so be patience!
