Great ride guide was good, could have had some water available on the ride due to extremely warm weather

  • Nice and Easy Cruise on the Lake

It was a straight forward cruise to the craving and back. The skipper was friendly and warm. The weather was just right: not burning bright or pouring rain. You will be out in the open. The experience was not extraordinary since it was a straight forward cruise on the lake. Hence, the 4 stars.

  • Relax and enjoy

Chris is a great guy with a huge love for sailing. The carvings are amazing and the relaxing trip on the lake was very welcome. Make sure to bring sunscreen though!

This trip is a super relaxing and cost effective way to see the beautiful rock carvings on Lake Taupo. Chris is a very engaging captain and host, hugely knowledgeable and passionate (about sailing as much as the lake and Māori culture). If it’s sunny in Taupo, this is a must do.
