Inga was our guide. While a sweet woman, she was very flighty, and her lack of focus affected the tour. We wound up walking up and down multiple sets of stairs, and in hindsight, it very much felt like several of them could have been avoided. The food was just fair. The chickpea and the seafood left a lot to be desired, as did Inga's leadership.

Inga, our tour guide did a great job with some great local small restaurants in Marseille highlighting the fresh seafood available on this coastal city! We finished at a great international dessert spot !

Important to discover the beautiful and good places a little hidden of the city. Lots of good tips. In addition, the guide introduced us to local people who knew how to tell interesting stories about their profession.

This was such an amazing experience! All due to our tour guide Laura. She was so very informative friendly and knowledgeable about the culinary world of Marseille. We started with Camembert and speck. A delicious glass of rose was the perfect accompaniment. The next stop brought us to an outdoor cafe where we had aioli, bread and panise (chickpea fritters). They were absolutely delicious. The third stop we got the plat du jour which was called Boquette de Veal- it’s a stew with potatoes and carrots. The restaurant was gorgeous. 4th stop was a confectionery store and the last stop was a pastry shop where I had the best baklava ever! It’s definitely a must do if you spend time in Marseille.

Laura was amazing! She did an awesome job teaching us about the delicious cuisine in Marseille. We started off with Camembert and toasted bread with a little glasss of wine. The second stop was aioli and panise. You could also try the local liquor made with anise flavor. She was so informative on the subject of food and local influences on Marseille cuisine. The 3rd stop was to a beautiful restaurant where we had the “plate du jour” which was a blanquette. Veal and vegetable stew-really delicious. The 4th stop was to a confection store where we tried 3 different kinds of sweets local to Marseille. The final stop was to local pastry shop where we had the most amazing baklava!!! We were so lucky to have Laura as our amazing guide.

We had a lovely time with Laura. Because one person unexpectedly didn't show up, the tour was small and it was just us. But it made the experience more personal and less crowded. The stops were interesting and welcoming, just a short walk between them, everybody was very nice and the food and drinks were delicious.

We had an excellent food tour with our guide Yasmine. Besides great food, she did a good job orienting us in the city both in location and history. We tasted many of the local specialties and some classic French dishes. The pace was good and the amount of food was huge. She sent a list of places that were not on the tour but good places to try. We tried the small wine bar and the street bouillabaisse which were both treats. We highly recommend doing this tour early in your visit to Marseille.
