We had a great time today with Alfredo and the group. It was great to see multiple archaeological sites (Tazumal was the most visually impressive) as well as Santa Ana’s downtown area, and he was very knowledgeable and friendly. The lunch location was also great, with a stunning view of Lake Coatepeque. We really enjoyed the day!

Very informative, Alfredo Diaz was my guide and there were a total of 5 people in the group. I liked that the van was roomy because it takes some time to travel between the 3 archeological sites. We had a late lunch at the end which I prefer because I typically get sleepy after eating. The whole group was in agreement with doing lunch after we had done the site seeing but Alfredo asked us first and then let us decide. Alfredo took great photos and knew where to get the best shots.

We booked the Maya Route Tour for my husband’s birthday, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences we’ve ever had. From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect! Our guide, Alfredo Díaz, was truly exceptional. His passion for El Salvador’s history, culture, and Mayan heritage made every site come alive. Alfredo didn’t just share facts—he told stories, answered every question with patience and depth, and made us feel completely immersed in the journey. His kindness, humor, and attention to detail made the day feel special and personal. Visiting Joya de Cerén, often called the “Pompeii of the Americas,” was a fascinating highlight. Alfredo explained the significance of the site in a way that was not only educational but genuinely captivating. Each stop along the Maya Route helped us connect with the country’s ancient past, and we left with a much deeper appreciation for El Salvador. Alfredo also went above and beyond to help us celebrate my husband’s birthday, adding thoughtful touches that made the day unforgettable. If you're considering this tour ,do it! And if you’re lucky enough to have Alfredo as your guide, you're guaranteed an amazing experience. Highly recommended!

As the first Salvadoran-American born in my family, it’s always been important to me to connect with my culture. Alfredo did an amazing job sharing Salvadoran history, explaining the different species and natural surroundings throughout the tour, and showing genuine love for his country. For the price, you get a beautiful experience and walk away having learned so much. I would gladly book this tour again! Some of the greatest views of the country can be found on this tour.

A great tour of the Mayan ruins of El Salvador! Our guide/driver, Adonis, was very knowledgeable and provided those on our tour with much information on the sites we visited. In addition to being a wonderful, informative guide, he was also an excellent driver!

Adonis was an excellent guide with terrific English capabilities. I was able to understand his interpretive tour that added additional context to the Olmec, Mayan, and Taltex civilisations. He was also friendly and engaging.

It was an amazing route and Alfredo was the guide. A gentleman from head to toe, honest, cultured and professional. He took us through the ruins of tazumal, San Andrés and jewel of ceren, he knows a lot of history and the guides so you have to take care of them. If you do this activity, request that Alfredo take you. Jose, from Madrid. Spain.
