It was awesome, Alfredo was so knowledgeable and friendly. He clearly has a love for his country. It was an awesome day. We were very comfortable, and felt very well taken care of all day.

Enjoyed seeing the three main Mayan sites near San Salvador. The tour guide was knowledgeable and passionate about the sites. The pace was good and he offered to help take pictures along the way. Lunch was a bit slower than expected, but that was more the restaurant’s fault than the tour guide. Be aware that the tour may return a bit later than expected if the lunch goes long and the traffic slows down your return. I would have preferred the half day option if it was available as the city visit wasn’t worth the extra time in my opinion.

Carlos is an excellent guide and he ensured that everything was explained in both English and Spanish. He took care to keep everything on schedule and made sure there was time to answer all of our questions. The tour was well organized and it was a day packed with lots of information- very informative and interesting. I'd highly recommend the tour to anyone with an interest in the history of El Salvador.

This tour was great! Alfredo Diaz was a lovely tour guide with much knowledge of Mayan history in the region. I appreciated the in-depth look at a variety of Mayan sites in El Salvador, each very different and worth seeing. Joya de Cerén is the highlight with a fascinating volcanic history and a look into the lives of ordinary Mayans. None of the sites are massive like you might see at Tikal/Chichen Itza but interesting and well-paced. I would strongly recommend!

We enjoyed our trip with Mike, he had a lot of knowledge of the sites and had good conversation. Great value, good learning experience. Mike took us to a restaurant for lunch which had beautiful views of the lake. Recommend this tour for others.
