Medjugorje is one of the most famous Roman Catholic shrines in the world. It became famous for the apparitions of the Virgin Mary, which first started in 1981 , after which Medjugorje began to develop religious tourism . Since then this place, next to Sarajevo is one of the most visited tourist centers in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which yearly visit about a million Catholics from around the world.

The visit is divided into 1 hour 30 minutes on The Hill of the Apparitions and 1 hour 30 minutes in the Sanctuary
