What To Expect
Vinh Trang Temple
Departing at 8:00 AM, from your Ho Chi Minh City hotel, heading to the Mekong Delta by minivan or bus. During the 1.5 hour drive, pass by green rice fields before arriving at the beautiful rural My Tho. Along the way, we will visit Vinh Trang pagoda, the biggest pagoda in the Mekong delta. My Tho
at the beautiful rural My Tho. Your morning trip continues from here by motorized boat on the Tien River to the Qui (Tortoise islet). On the way, see the fishing port, boat-building workshops, and the Dragon, Phoenix and Unicorn Islet. Walk into the village, where you can visit a local fruit garden and enjoy the tropical fruit while listening to Southern Vietnamese folk music performed by islanders. Here you also can join the daily activities of the local people and take in the atmosphere of this beautiful natural countryside. Visit the bee house, and take the picture of the pythons. Lunch will be served right in the heart of the orchard garden. The boat cruise will lead you through Bao Dinh canal, entering Ben Tre province.

5.00Went on a private tour with excellent English speaking guide named Emily. She was so kind and knowledgeable and has an amazing sense of humor. She also took videos and pictures of us and sent them to me. Had a great day and the driver (Mr Wing) was patient and professional.

5.00You can’t visit Saigon without making the trip to the Mekong Delta. We had a wonderful guide. She provided so much interesting history. We were “one on one” with her and had our own car and boat. We highly recommend this experience. It was worth the extra money! We stopped at a Pagoda that is home to giant buddha statues and beautiful gardens. Next, we visited the river and various islands. The delta has a unique beauty and culture! The lunch was beautifully presented… great for pictures. But if you don’t want to pluck fish from the skeleton, make sure you bring extra snacks! The only thing we could’ve bypassed was a visit to the lacquer shop. It’s a high pressure environment. Several of the excursions include this particular stop. Had we known ahead of time, we would’ve requested to not to go there. We would highly recommend this trip.

We visited family workshops, explored quiet canals, and enjoyed incredible home-cooked food. Her local knowledge and connections made all the difference. 5.00We absolutely loved the Mekong Delta Full Day Trip. Choosing the VIP Private Tour was worth every penny, it felt completely tailored to us, allowing us to go at our own pace and truly escape the crowds. Our guide, Hannah, was fantastic! She was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and brought the history and local culture to life. Highlights included the peaceful, small boat ride through the canals, the coconut candy factory, and the amazing traditional lunch (that fried fish was a feast!). A must-do escape from Ho Chi Minh City. Highly, highly recommend booking this tour and asking for Hannah!

5.00I can’t speak more highly of the tour and Bunny our tour guide. She made our day! Not only did the company organise to start earlier than scheduled, Bunny looked after us - translating, explaining Vietnamese culture, language differences, history and geography. She checked on our needs and made sure we always had our belongings after each stop. We went to the Mekong river boat ride, turtle island to try fruits and local honey and tea, we then visited Coconut Island and watched candy making demonstrations and taste tested a lot of varieties. We took a TukTuk to lunch at a riverside restaurant- had a feast of a lunch, went for a river canal ride and saw crocodile, frog, snake and fish farming, before going to the Pagoda. Bunny was the absolute best and this day I’ll never forget. Highly recommend booking the private tour with Bunny.

She shared many interesting facts about Vietnam and the locations we visited. Boat rides were thoroughly enjoyable and safe. Food was heavenly.
