What To Expect
Vinh Trang Temple
Around 7:45am. Get picked up from your hotel in center of Ho Chi Minh City and head to the Mekong Delta. During the 1.5 car ride, we will pass through by green rice fields before arriving at the beautiful rural My Tho. The first stop is Vinh Trang pagoda. It is the biggest pagoda in the Mekong Delta region. You will be guided to explore the most beautiful, ancient and significant temple in the Mekong Delta. This religious landmark dates back to the 19th century and features a harmonious fusion of Vietnamese, Khmer, and Chinese architectural styles.
My Tho
Head to the nearby pier, where you'll board a traditional Mekong Delta boat for a scenic cruise on the Mekong River. You will pass by the Turtle, Dragon, Phoenix Islets and arrive at the Unicorn Islet. As you embark on this journey, you'll be captivated by the lush greenery and bustling river life. Continue your exploration by riding a traditional sampan boat through the narrow waterways with coconut palms lining both sides. This up-close experience allows you to appreciate the unique ecosystem and local way of life. Stop at a bee farm, savor honey tea, taste local fruits and enjoy traditional music performed by the villagers and learn about the daily life of the locals. Enjoy a local lunch with Vietnamese dishes (vegan food available)

5.00We had a great day tour to the Mekong Delta. Our guide, Bac, was friendly, informative and helpful throughout and he took great care to remember everyone by name and ensure we were having a good time. We enjoyed the trip and thought the lunch was very generous and tasty.

5.00I really enjoyed my experience with Simon for the Mekong Delta full day tour! He was friendly and knowledge about Ho Chi Minh (the starting/ending point) as well as the local islands we visited. I also appreciated the variety of islands that were visited. I thoroughly enjoyed my day and would definitely recommend!

5.00I had a good overall experience on the Mekong Delta River Tour! Everything was well organized, and the guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and kept the group engaged throughout the day. The only downside was that a lot of time was spent on the road and on side activities, while the actual time on the river — the main highlight — felt a bit short and underwhelming. That said, this wasn’t the fault of the tour company, as everything ran smoothly and on schedule. Despite the long travel time, it was still a well-managed and informative experience, and I appreciated the chance to see more of the countryside and local culture. The tour guide Nelson was amazing!
