A fantastic day tour! Definitely recommended. Our tour guide Phu was very organised, cheerful and accomodating. Would have loved a little more information on the history of this area in Vietnam. The row boats was definitely a highlight! Would definitely recommend this tour, although it is quite a drive from Ho Chi Minh in the traffic :)

We were picked up by our excellent tour guide Hai promptly. The vehicle was comfortable with good air con and lovely reclining seats. We visited the Vinh Trang Pagoda and our guide explained its history and significance, snapping photos of our group and allowing us time to explore fully. We the headed to a nearby pier and enjoyed a scenic cruise on the Mekong River, passing Turtle, Dragon and Phoenix Islets. It was amazing to see the floating homes of fisherman on the river and learn about their daily life. We then stopped at a bee farm where we enjoyed honey tea and then were taken on an electric vehicle around the island to observe local life before being treated to local fruit on the Unicorn islet while being entertained by local singers and musicians. We continued our adventure riding a traditional sampan boat through the narrow waterways which was fun and thrilling and we disembarked at a coconut candy factory. Seeing the methods was both educational and entertaining. I also got to sample the local “cobra whiskey” followed by another boat ride to a local restaurant where we enjoyed a delicious variety of local cuisine. We then returned in comfort to our hotel in HCMC. Our guide Hai was friendly, informative and looked after “his family” throughout the experience. Would highly recommend the tour and our excellent guide, Hai Trang.
