A great day trip with plenty of activities. Our Thuan did an excellent job, informing us of the history of the area. He kept us up to date with our itinerary. Our lunch was really good.

This was the standard tour. The good things: tour guide was knowledgeable about Vietnamese history and geopolitical affairs. The solid things some exposure to nature ie ability to hold a bee frame, pictures with anaconda around neck, boat ride and 300m or so paddle through irrigation canal, Buddhist temple bathroom stop, some folk singing, 10 min lambo ride. The sort of annoying things, hard sell of craft products through tourist traps (ie bamboo vs cotton lecture, coconut “factory “) ie superficial exposure that was pushing over priced goods, set meals with tons of food waste. Non controllable factors are traffic, and pollution. This tour would be good for large groups with individuals with limited mobility.

This tour has been the highlight of our short trip in Ho Chi Minh City.. It felt so fulfilling. So much to see and explore - Mekong river is huge, the boat ride was so wonderful, on the journey our guide Mr. Tony kept us informed about all key points and the city history, we had amazing lunch (even though we all are vegetarians, we got very good food), we visited two families - one into making the coconut candy (we learnt the process) and other into bee keeping, we got some lovely honey tea and snacks, we also visited fruits farms, listened to their folk singing, had a short bycicle ride, 30 mins (approx) small boat ride through canals rowed by local people and also visited a peaceful Budha ji temple (Pagoda) on our return. All in all our family had great time and it also felt gentle pace, we did not rush anywhere.. Special thanks to our tour guide Mr. Tony, who was insightful and shared all stories with great interest. He kept all of us engaged and took good care of everyone. Many thanks to the whole team (Vietnam Adventure Tours) and also Mrs. Esther who answered all my queries initially while I was planning for this. Highly recommended tour if you are around Ho Chi Minh City!

The full-day Mekong River trip was a really nice way to see the countryside and experience a different side of Vietnam away from the busy city. The scenery was beautiful, and it was interesting to learn more about local life along the river. That said, just a heads up — there are plenty of bees and wasps around during some of the stops (especially where honey is involved), so if you’re scared of them, this might not be the tour for you. Overall though, it was a good experience and worth doing if you’re comfortable being around nature.

The small boat ride through the canals was the highlight for me. It was quiet and peaceful, and I caught myself just staring at the scenery instead of taking pictures. Beo was great at keeping the group comfortable and making sure everyone understood what was happening without being “too tour guide-ish.” It felt like traveling with someone who genuinely enjoys showing people his home region.

Very enjoyable and informative tour. Especially loved the canoe trip on the Canal. It is a long drive both ways but totally worth it.
