This has been on my bucket list since I started visiting Melbourne. Hosted by a club member the tour was both personal and informative. Got into the bowels of the stadium and really saw it all. Highlights were definitely the members lounge and the amount of history on display.

The hosts (all volunteers) were very friendly and the tour was very informative and comprehensive. As a cricket tragic it fulfilled one of my dreams to visit one of the most famous cricket grounds in the world. A wonderful experience.

Our volunteer guide, Bryan was fantastic! He didn't rattle on, but provided all the facts and information you would expect....the experience was absolutely well worth the time and cost

I would absolutely recommend the MCG guided tour as it gives an opportunity to visit places inside MCG where normal visitors are not allowed to visit like the players seating section, lunch section, dressing room, vip box, commentators section, players changing rooms, hall of fame. It is an ideal tour for cricket fans and lovers. Our tour guide was Mr Bryan Dunlop and he had been amazing.

The tour of the MCG lasted about one hour and the tour guide was a volunteer, which is much appreciated. As concerns the tour, about half of it relates to cricket and the other half to AFL, although there is some mention of the 1956 Olympic Games held at the MCG. My suggestion is that there are 2 tours of the ground - one that focuses solely on cricket and one that focuses solely on AFL. To most tourists, AFL does not mean much because it is a game only played in Australia and so reference to great games and great players is somewhat pointless. Also, I know the MCG has a great cricket museum, but we were never shown this. Why not?
