Even though I'm personally not a great fan of seeing animals caged, Melbourne Zoo is a wonderful experience for all ages. All of the guides were very knowledgeable about the animals in their sector, and were happy to answer any questions posed. Only real advice would be to wear comfortable shoes, as there is a lot of walking to be done

The zoo is big and has many animals to see. The place is clean and easy to walk around. Great for families and kids. The ticket price is a bit high, but it’s a nice day out.

Really easy to follow we went on a Tuesday first thing so wasn’t super busy and parking through the app on the signs was really cheap

Clean, beautifully laid out park. Easy to get to using public transport or taxi / ride sharing. Wish we had come sooner.

What a wonderful day was had by all in our group! Kids entry is free on weekends and we felt so fortunate for this amazing gesture! The gardens alone are stunning, but the animals all seem to be very well cared for and the environment is very special. We enjoyed several talks on the animals. It was a freezing cold day so many primates were hiding (I didn’t blame them!), but there was still so much to do. Many eateries to choose from and all very well priced. Even the gift shop had reasonably priced merchandise! Highly recommend!!

The layout inside is pretty good and well organized. Visitors can easily find their way around to see all kinds of animals. It’s also really shady and cool to walk around because there are lots of trees. The paths are easy to follow and not confusing. There are plenty of spots to sit and take a break too, so it’s great if you’re coming with kids or family.

We went at 10:00 on an overcast chilly(12 degrees) winter day. We spent he next few hours touring the zoo. Most of the animals were resting trying to keep warm. We saw some action from the platypus, the otters, the birds, and the butterflies . The wombat, the penguin, the lions, and others were just resting. Even with the colder days, there were still alot of noisy school kids running around. Hard to avoid i imagine.
