Grind City Brewing Co.

These breweries are sample itineraries only. All schedules are subject to change. Grind City Brewing, the embodiment of the city of Memphis… the hard work, blue collar sweat that keeps the city rolling. Grind City brewery is on one of the bluffs of the Mississippi, in the old home of the Tri-State veneer and furniture factory. Grind City refurbished and reused scrap wood and furniture materials to keep the history and spirit of the building alive and give homage to the uptown area it resides in. Table, walls, bar tops, flight boards and more are all re-used factory materials. Grind City has a mission to be a part of Memphis, they work with many charities in the community including St. Jude Children’s hospital, Angel Street, Folds of Honor, the Streetdog Foundation and more.

Wunderbar! Brian is fantastic. His passion and knowledge of beer, beer history and Memphis is absolutely phenomenal. This guy and his tour quickly moves from enzyme level to 2-row and 5-row barleys, as smooth as a premium German pilsner. Brian’s choice of breweries to visit and beers to enjoy matches his mastery of beer brewing science. He was extremely attentive to all our needs, safety and enjoyment. The memories created by Brian on this tour makes this one of the must-do bucket-list items when visiting Memphis. This was fun, science, history and memories all weaved into a story-filled night to remember. And yes, you “sample” way more than the tour prize…

Hours of fun. Great beer! Cool to see behind the scenes of some of the best local breweries. Brian was a great host. I wasn't sure what details we were in for when booking but it proved to be well worth the money. Would do this again in any city available.

Brian with City Brews Tour Memphis provided an unforgettable afternoon with family and friends. As a born and raised Memphian, it was enjoyable to get a behind the scenes tour of three great Memphis breweries, their operations and the best thing of all - their beer! Brian was extremely knowledgeable about the city of Memphis, beer, and the breweries! Would highly recommend his tour for anyone visiting or anyone that lives here and has never had the chance to enjoy and learn so much about the beer in Memphis!
