Experience the beauty of the Alaskan wilderness on this 3.5-4 hour adventure to the Mendenhall Glacier. This adventure starts off at the cruise ship docks as an expert guide will transfer the guaranteed, small group on a narrated 30 minute journey to the West Glacier boat launch in the Tongass National Forest. Guests gear up in top quality waterproof gear and after a quick paddle lesson, will launch the canoe onto the Mendenhall Lake to start the journey. Surrounded by steep cliffs filled with Arctic terns, mountain goats, porcupines, and other wildlife; enjoy the serenity of this adventure deep into Alaska. Feel the cool brisk air coming off the glacier as the guide safely navigates the canoe to the best viewpoints of the blue crevasses and seracs on the toe of the Mendenhall Glacier. This was a good trip taking us right up to the glacier. Likely to be last year where it meets the water and then it will become a hanging glacier. The canoe experience was good fun although tiring as lots of rowing as a team. All Outerwear provided. Our guides were lovely.

They are a small company, but they have the right people working for them. Very nice staff. Our guide was Dawson, who was great! This is a unique trip because you work hard having to paddle across the lake to the glacier, but worth every minute of your time. We were tired when we got back, but the views were spectacular. We definitely got a great workout

Canoeing to Mendenhall Glacier with Shayla as our guide was a fantastic experience! Her energy, enthusiasm, and knowledge made the tour both informative and fun. Even on her last canoe tour of the season, Shayla was as fresh and friendly as if it were her first—highly recommend!

Shayla was an amazing guide -- full of enthusiasm, knowledge of the area and patience. The lake is incredible along with the mountains, glacier and waterfall. It was the highlight of our trip.

We got up close and personal with the glacier and nugget falls. It was about a 4 mile row but well worth it. Great experience and great tour guide Mike.
