Specially designed for guests coming on cruise ships! This is a 3 hour Tour. We meet at the downtown cruise ship dock. Enjoy the 30 minute narrated tour, past downtown Juneau out to the Mendenhall Glacier Recreation Area. Explore the visitor center, trails and photo opportunities for 2 hours. Then your guide will be ready to take you back to the downtown dock area with great ideas for the rest of your visit to Juneau.

This is a 3 hour tour. Ride out and back on with the same guide on the same trolley.

4.00Basically this tour comprises a lift out to the glacier trail and a lift back to Juneau, with some commentary en route. It seems very expensive for what it is but we understand it’s expensive to freight vehicles to this area.

4.00We did the trip in light rain and fog so the narrated bus tour wasn’t as enjoyable as it could have been since we couldn’t see out the window. However Jason did an excellent job narrating. We took the Nugget Falls 1 mile walk and it was well worth the journey. Stunning waterfall and the walk is easy. The visitors center was packed with people, noisy and overly warm; we would have liked to explore it but it was so unpleasant we quickly left. Jason got us back to our dropoff point no problem. My only suggestion to Viator is the pick up point was very unclear. Your email stated “Mount Robert Tramway” but it’s actually Goldbelt Tram and your rep wasn’t standing close by, nor was she easily visible. Our group spent a lot of time wandering around looking for the pick up point. Please make it clearer.

5.00Our tour bus driver was Frank and he did an excellent job. Super knowledgeable about the area and kept us informed of all the sites on the way to the Mendenhall Glacier. Locally owned company and a really great experience all the way around. Highly recommend.
