Did you know that Miami Beach is mostly man-made? And that Biscayne Bay used to be a shallow swamp? And that Muhammad Ali became world boxing champion for the first time right here in Miami Beach? Miami Beach history is riddled with enchanting stories, and I have made it my mission to bring these tales to life through extensive research, engaging storytelling and passion.
I'm excited to offer a captivating guided walking tour through the heart of Miami Beach, where we will delve into its checkered past and relive its history over time, which is truly stranger than fiction. Our journey will take us along iconic streets of South Beach leading us through lobbies and rooftops of exquisite Art Deco hotels. You'll gain insights into early days evolution, The Great Depression, city’s unique architecture, Black history, Jewish history, Cuban migration, notorious cocaine cowboys’ era, the influence of "Miami Vice," the infamous murder of Gianni Versace, plenty of hidden gems, and much more.

Perfect for exploring the city's origins. You can admire the architecture, stroll through the neighborhood, relax in multiple lobbies, and check out some great attractions. It’s a really illuminating and detailed experience, and Miami’s weather in autumn is just right. Definitely worth it!

What a ripper tour! Hands down the highlight of our trip. Damian knows his stuff, weaving in awesome stories, quirky facts, and bits of history you’d never find on your own. He’s got a real knack for making it entertaining and personal, too. By the end, he even sorted us out with top tips on where to dine and what to check out next, which made the rest of our holiday better. Can’t recommend his tour enough and can’t wait to see his new documentary!

There is no way to say enough about this amazing experience. Damian is an insightful historian and a talented teacher. He has clearly spent a great deal of time accumulating his knowledge of architecture, language, and history. He has put the story together in a way that is easy to understand as it comes to life. We learned SO much and the time flew by. We were also impressed by the way Damian thought about his guests’ comfort. He utilized many opportunities along his route to stop in the shade, cool off with some air conditioning, and refill your water. This was a perfect morning. Thank you, Damian!! We wish you all the best.

Tour guide Damian takes the concept to a whole different level. Every stop, every paragraph is fascinating in one way or another. Even if you don't like history you will find this experience captivating, how it analyzes design through human psychology.

A great introduction to the Art Deco style of South Beach. Tour guide Damian is superb. He is an artist himself and a member of the local preservation society. You will leave better understanding the significance of the design elements of the art deco style. Damian also is very knowledgeable about culture and history. He also prepares a pocket sized map guide to key attractions in the area. It was very hot when we did the tour but the guide was considerate to bring us indoors and also provide cold water. I left with a greater appreciation for preservation.

Damian inspired us with his knowledge and historical background about the Art Deco buildings on Ocean Drive. It was super exciting and we learned a lot. We also went into buildings. Damian accompanied his remarks with many photos on an iPad. That was very helpful in understanding the context. The two hours passed quickly. We would definitely do this tour again.

Four of us joined this walking tour and found it absolutely fascinating—packed with history and little known backstories about Miami! Damien’s knowledge was impressive, and the use of a tablet helped us visualize and connect everything. Exploring Miami Beach on foot through its streets, lobbies, rooftops, and hidden corners—is by far the best way to dive into its rich past. Highly recommended!
