Magical trip to Milford Sound

5.00Fantastic crew both on the flight and on the cruise. Stu was our pilot there and back. With 40 years flying experience we were able to relax and feel safe in his hands, so we could enjoy the flights. He prepared us in advance about the inevitable bumpy headwinds on our ascents and descents, which put us at ease. He also shared many facts about the landscape as we flew over it. He was also friendly and polite when giving us instructions. The same was true of the young crew manning the cruise ship. We were all welcomed with smiles upon boarding, we were told where we could obtain complimentary drinks, and we were given plenty of facts about Milford Sound and its history throughout the cruise. The staff were also playful, which brought a jovial mood to the whole experience. A great trip overall.

2.00Unfortunately, our flight was confirmed as part of the trip to first the day before at 1pm and then canceled at 2:30pm due to work at the airfield. Very short notice for a trip we booked half a year earlier. We then accepted the offer coach-cruise-coach around and hope for a corresponding refund.

1.00it rains 260 days a year, and apparently they often cancel flights if you've booked a bus one way and a flight to get back to queenstown. the refund for the cancelled flight from viator was significantly less than the cost if you booked direct with the tour company. then, if you choose to get a chopper back, the cost is ridiculous.

5.00This trip was absolutely worth every penny. We had a great drive to Milford Sound--Shale, our driver, was excellent!! The cruise was very pleasant, beautiful views and the buffet was very filling! We concluded the trip with a flight back with Glenorchy air. Joseph was an excellent pilot and guide during the flight. We highly recommend and would do it again!!

5.00This was a once-in-a-lifetime tour. Our tour guide and driver was Ash, and she was amazing--friendly, full of Kiwi knowledge, and a great driver. The cruise was gorgeous; we completely lucked out, weather-wise, and had perfect visibility and no rain. The flight back to Queenstown was absolute perfection! It felt like we could reach out and touch the mountain peaks. You will never regret taking this tour!!

5.00We flew on what I suspect was one miracle of a perfect weather day! Simply stunning. No cloud, no wind. You know it’s a good day when the pilot was taking photos! I sat next to your pilot (always good when I’m a recreational pilot) and he was so professional and informative. The day was a 10!

5.00Plan for a very full day. The trip there is planned with great stops along the way to either use a toilet or grab a snack or even just to see something interesting along the way.

5.00We had the best day. Everything went so smoothly. Tour Guide Tommy was awesome. A must do when in Queenstown. Flying back was amazing defiantly value for money. I found Viator by googling online and found the reviews positive so thank you to everyone for their good reviews we made the right choice by booking through them.
