  This is a must visit when in Queenstown. The natural beauty will take your breath away. The towering mountains above you as the boat travels between them. We were fortunate to experience so many waterfall on the mountains flowing as it rained the previous day. We were on a smaller tour with a smaller boat to be able to get right up against the wall of the mountain and see the trees on the vertical wall as well as some of the other falls. It was also a smaller group so it was not crowded. It is worth the little extra for the experience. We also saw dolphins and sea lions too. Our driver Jack and tour guide Peter was an incredible team for this journey to Milford Sound. Professional driving and informative. On the boat Nick was great in providing a great narrative of the sound.

  We booked the Milford Sound Coach & Discover More ex Queenstown tour on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, and it was an incredible experience. We stayed at the Hilton Queenstown, and Southern Discoveries arranged a taxi pickup early in the morning, which was smooth and well-organized. The coach arrived on time, and from the start, everything ran perfectly. Our guide Ellie and driver Yoda were outstanding. Ellie shared great stories along the way, and we made several scenic stops for photos, breakfast, and restroom breaks. Everything was well-timed, allowing us to fully enjoy the journey without feeling rushed. The extended cruise at Milford Sound was absolutely breathtaking. We were lucky to have clear weather, which made the waterfalls and fjord even more spectacular. It truly felt like one of the most beautiful places on earth. After the cruise, Amiee and Yoda brought us back to Queenstown safely. Overall, it was a fantastic trip, and we’re very grateful to the team for making it such a memorable experience.

  Great ride going with nice descriptions. But the return was long for us... maybe find an option stop in Te Anau... It was really to be done. We took with lunch a full box. Thank you very much 👌🙏🌈

  This tour was an absolute highlight of my entire trip—my favorite day in New Zealand. Milford Sound is breathtaking on its own, but the experience was made even better thanks to Ellie, who was a truly fabulous guide.
