What To Expect

Milford Sound

Take a stunning Scenic Flight to Milford Sound from Queenstown, with our fly cruise fly package including a 2-hour Cruise. Milford Sound is New Zealand's premier tourist destination, and the sheer scale and staggering beauty of the fiord are experienced from all viewpoints. We will fly you from Queenstown over the Southern Alps with breathtakingly spectacular and endless panoramic views of lakes, forested river valleys, waterfalls, jagged razor-backed ridge lines and snow covered peaks. After landing at Milford we will choose whether to take the shuttle bus or, if time permits, take you on a short walk through the bush and foreshore to the cruise boat. Once on the boat, you will take a leisurely cruise along the whole length of the fiord. After the cruise, your pilot will escort you back to the aircraft for the return flight to Queenstown along a different flight path.

Wow! We had a beautiful morning flight! Pictures won’t do it justice. This excursion was worth every penny! Our pilot, Luke, was friendly, fun and extremely skilled. He was ready to share the sites and some interesting facts. Once on the boat at Milford sound, we again were greeted by lovely staff and fun and informative facts. So beautiful that you didn’t know where to look first. We grabbed a spot on the front rail and soaked it all in. Luke made sure we all got safely and gently back to our original point. This is a must do especially if you are fortunate enough to have beautiful weather!

Incredible views from the aircraft, skilled pilot, wonderful cruise and home in time for lunch. yes, it seems expensive but it's so spectacular and so quick, can't imagine how the long winding drive feels.

What an amazing day in Milford Sound. We had been told about the impressiveness, but it did not compare to seeing it in person. We flew with Captain Luke, who was amazing! He ensured some of our nervous fliers felt comfortable and we felt assured that we were in good hands.

What an experience. Sights from the air and sea astonishing, especially over the snow covered peaks. Great people to deal with and very informative pilot. There was a risk of weather disruption, clouds at Milford Sound, but pilots set a route under the clouds down the sound from the sea. Brilliant.

This tour was the highlight of our trip, and an experience we will remember. The pickup and drop off was seamless, we appreciated that we were able to contact them on WhatsApp for the weather check since we didn’t have access to a telephone. We were 4; 2 adults, one toddler (3 years old) and one infant (7 months old). We had brought noise cancelling headphones for the kids, but the airplane was not very loud. Since it’s a small plane, you do feel air currents more intensely than in a big aircraft; I would have brought some non-drowsy nausea medication if I had known. The flight itself was awesome, especially the flyby Mount Aspiring. Once at Milford Sound, the cruise was not too packed so it was easy to enjoy the sights and take pictures (but we don’t know if it’s always true). I would definitely recommend this tour!

The flight was the most amazing thing. The views from up there were well worth it. Daniel was a great pilot. The cruise was nice. Saw beautiful waterfalls and scenery.

The staff were wonderful, so grateful they got us onto this flight while the weather was fine. The cruise was lovely but the flight was most spectacular. Thanks Luke for your beautiful manner, your skilful flying, and for letting me sit in the co-pilot seat on the way over! I would highly recommend this company and this experience to everyone!

Incredible experience to witness milford sounds from both the sky and water. Lily was our pilot and did an amazing job flying us over and explaining things about milford and the fiordlands as we flew above. I did the 0800 flight and would recommend this one as it's much quieter since no buses have arrived

My boyfriend and I had a great time! It is more expensive than bus tour from Queenstown, but we're in NZ for less than two weeks so I find the time it saved us to experience other activities and the airborne views way more than make up for its costs. I would highly recommend this tour to other travelers in a similar situation as we are.
