What To Expect
Milford Sound
Take a stunning Scenic Flight to Milford Sound from Queenstown, with our fly cruise fly package including a 2-hour Cruise. Milford Sound is New Zealand's premier tourist destination, and the sheer scale and staggering beauty of the fiord are experienced from all viewpoints. We will fly you from Queenstown over the Southern Alps with breathtakingly spectacular and endless panoramic views of lakes, forested river valleys, waterfalls, jagged razor-backed ridge lines and snow covered peaks. After landing at Milford we will choose whether to take the shuttle bus or, if time permits, take you on a short walk through the bush and foreshore to the cruise boat. Once on the boat, you will take a leisurely cruise along the whole length of the fiord. After the cruise, your pilot will escort you back to the aircraft for the return flight to Queenstown along a different flight path.

5.00What a great trip from start to finish. Our pick up in town was by Elle was perfect. The flight was amazing and Andrew our pilot gave a commentary and pointed out points of interest. The views were stunning. The cruise on Milford Sound was fab, so pretty and we were lucky to have such a beautiful day. There was a guide on board who told us everthing we needed to know. Our pilot brought us back a different route so we could see the glaciers. Absolutely amazing trip.

5.00This tour was one of the best experiences we had in New Zealand. We did the fly-cruise-fly tour to Milford Sound and loved being able to see this beautiful area from different angles (and, bonus: we were staying in Queenstown and didn't want to waste too much time driving to/from Milford Sound... this tour allowed us to get there and back quickly!) Thank you to our driver (Sam) and our pilot (Laura). Sam was very personable (with a surprising amount of knowledge about American Football) and Laura helped me feel safe getting onto such a small plane and was very knowledgeable about the area.

5.00What a fabulous day ! True South were super easy to contact through whatsapp a great help for visitors with only wifi. All True South staff were extremely polite, cheerful and helpful. The day started with a prompt pick up by Sam who was cheerful, friendly and got us to the airport safely. Our pilot was Andrew who was excellent, keeping us briefed and informed at all times. Reassuring passengers during moments of turbulence and pointing out and providing commentary on points of interest. He demonstrated exceptional piloting skills during approach to and departure from Milford sound. The cruise was also superb. Thanks True South we enjoyed a once in a lifetime experience deliverd fantastically by you.

5.00Right from the initial pick-up from our hotel in Queenstown this True South tour was really well organised, efficient and ultimately breathtaking. The weather forecast promised us a slightly bumpy ride, but our pilot Tanmay dealt with it well and kept us informed throughout. The cruise along the Milford Sound on the Pure Milford catamaran was packed with stunning views and close encounters with active waterfalls. The scenery all along the way, whether in the air or on the water, was spectacular. Worth every cent.

5.00Did the Milford Sound tour on the 4th of March. Can’t express how amazing this was! Well organised pickup from the hotel and check in before a awesome flight to Milford. The views of the landscape and mountains was incredible and Michael our pilot gave an informative commentary and identified most of the landmarks. The cruise on Milford sound was brilliant although the waterfalls were not at their most powerful due to lack of rain. Would do it again in a heartbeat!

5.00An excellent way to see the Aspiring alps and Milford Sound using the fly / cruise option in a 5-6 hour end-to-end day trip. Our pilot (Jason) was very skilled and informative flying us there and back. The cruise was on a large boat so be prepared for crowds. The fjord is definitely worth seeing from air and sea. The highlight for us was the flight there and back.
