What To Expect
Milford Sound
Take a stunning Scenic Flight to Milford Sound from Queenstown, with our fly cruise fly package including a 2-hour Cruise. Milford Sound is New Zealand's premier tourist destination, and the sheer scale and staggering beauty of the fiord are experienced from all viewpoints. We will fly you from Queenstown over the Southern Alps with breathtakingly spectacular and endless panoramic views of lakes, forested river valleys, waterfalls, jagged razor-backed ridge lines and snow covered peaks. After landing at Milford we will choose whether to take the shuttle bus or, if time permits, take you on a short walk through the bush and foreshore to the cruise boat. Once on the boat, you will take a leisurely cruise along the whole length of the fiord. After the cruise, your pilot will escort you back to the aircraft for the return flight to Queenstown along a different flight path.

5.00From the moment we booked the experience has been extremely professional. Even a change on our part was handled very smoothly. Then the confirmation call, pick up, boarding and the flights went really smoothly. Pilot Luke kept us informed the whole journey and gave great prompts for photos. We were blessed with beautiful weather which also made the cruise component of the day awesome. A wonderful day in amazing country and we highly recommend Pure South.

5.00We had an amazing morning today. Unfortunately our fly cruise fly , Could not happen due to the weather. So the lovely staff organised a flight over Milford sound and the Alps instead. It was amazing!!. Michael our pilot was so knowledgeable and we had a smooth flight. I would like to give a shout out also to the hard working ladies in the office.!!!! The were so professional and organised!! I would recommend this company- experience to everyone!!

5.00You could not ask for a more amazing experience than flying to Milford Sound with True South. This is the most time efficient method to get to see Milford if you are on a short timeframe like we were. It was such a treat to see the gorgeous landscapes on the way in and way out as well as on the cruise. My favorite experience for our entire trip!!!!

5.00A once in a lifetime bucket list item. Well run and professional. Seamless check in and our pilot Michael was superb. Fantastic explanations along the way and the scenery is as good as you’re ever going to see. The cruise was also vey good, with great and humorous commentary. You will feel like you’re in another world. Would highly recommend

Best way to get to and from Milford Sound and see the Sites

5.00The flight from Queenstown to Milford Sound is the best way to there and back in half a day. Other patrons took the coach and said never again. The aircraft takes you over the mountains (close) and is unbelievable; taking you over Milford Sound before landing. On the way back we went the length of Lake Whakatitu and past the Remarkables. The cruise is nice ans offers a close up to the waterfalls, etc and compliments the flight well. The pilot (Andrew) was great and very knowledgeable. We were delivered back to our hotel by the company in good time. At great overall experience.
