What To Expect
Milford Sound
Take a stunning Scenic Flight to Milford Sound from Queenstown, with our fly cruise fly package including a 2-hour Cruise. Milford Sound is New Zealand's premier tourist destination, and the sheer scale and staggering beauty of the fiord are experienced from all viewpoints. We will fly you from Queenstown over the Southern Alps with breathtakingly spectacular and endless panoramic views of lakes, forested river valleys, waterfalls, jagged razor-backed ridge lines and snow covered peaks. After landing at Milford we will choose whether to take the shuttle bus or, if time permits, take you on a short walk through the bush and foreshore to the cruise boat. Once on the boat, you will take a leisurely cruise along the whole length of the fiord. After the cruise, your pilot will escort you back to the aircraft for the return flight to Queenstown along a different flight path.

3.00Suggest you think hard before booking, having spoken to several locals these flights get cancelled regularly. I’m sure the trip would be great, was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately this was our second attempt at fly / cruise to Milford Sound and like the first on the morning of the trip, flight was cancelled due to inclement weather conditions. I do appreciate the need to be 100% certain re safety of flights, so have no issues with cancellation and the lady was very nice and apologetic, even suggested the coach trip as alternative (12+hrs !) but I declined. The cost was reimbursed very quickly so overall good. By it’s just very possible even in summer your flight will be cancelled due.

5.00Our flight from Queenstown to Milford Sound combined with the ferry cruise was hands down the perfect way to experience this incredible place. Seeing Milford Sound by both air and sea made the day truly unforgettable. Not only did flying save us hours of drive time, but the views from the air were just as spectacular as the views aboard the ferry — snow-capped peaks, dramatic cliffs, glaciers, waterfalls, and breathtaking alpine landscapes stretching as far as the eye could see. The ferry cruise through Milford Sound was equally stunning. Cruising beneath towering cliffs and cascading waterfalls was simply magical. Every turn offered another postcard-perfect view. We had a fabulous day and were back in Queenstown by mid-afternoon, with plenty of time left to enjoy the rest of our day — something that would never have been possible if we’d driven. A special shoutout to Andrew, our pilot, who was excellent! He was fun, engaging, and incredibly informative, pointing out landmarks and sharing interesting facts throughout the flight. He also recommended that we not miss the TSS Earnslaw steamship and BBQ tour. Since we knew we’d be back in time, we booked it before our return flight — and we’re so glad we did! It made for the perfect end to an already amazing day. Milford Sound is truly a must-see, and I highly recommend experiencing it with the flight there and back. It’s beautiful, awe-inspiring, and absolutely unforgettable. So beautiful. So amazing. A day we will always remember.

5.00We would highly recommend this tour. The flight in and out of Milford Sound was spectacular. Our pilot was great at pointing out places of interest and giving us information. The cruise was lovely, and again, the tour guide was full of great information. The tour departed and returned as expected. We had a brilliant time.

5.00I’d definitely recommend this tour! The whole process was seamless and easy. Mateo was helpful and friendly during hotel pickup and drop-off. Luke was a great pilot with nice commentary during the flight. The flight and cruise were stunning! I was supposed to do a coach-cruise-coach tour but switched to this one and I’m very glad I did. The flight is such a cool experience!

I was leery of small planes, but our excellent pilot Jason provided a smooth flight and gobsmaacking views as well as information about what we were seeing. A tightly run, safety minded organization. I highly recommend. Worth every penny.
