What To Expect
Milford Sound
Take a stunning Scenic Flight to Milford Sound from Queenstown, with our fly cruise fly package including a 2-hour Cruise. Milford Sound is New Zealand's premier tourist destination, and the sheer scale and staggering beauty of the fiord are experienced from all viewpoints. We will fly you from Queenstown over the Southern Alps with breathtakingly spectacular and endless panoramic views of lakes, forested river valleys, waterfalls, jagged razor-backed ridge lines and snow covered peaks. After landing at Milford we will choose whether to take the shuttle bus or, if time permits, take you on a short walk through the bush and foreshore to the cruise boat. Once on the boat, you will take a leisurely cruise along the whole length of the fiord. After the cruise, your pilot will escort you back to the aircraft for the return flight to Queenstown along a different flight path.

5.00From the pick up at our hotel right through to the drop off at the end of the day, everything was great. Our pilot, Lily, was friendly and knowledgeable and the flight was perfect in both directions. The boat trip around Milford Sounds was also wonderful, with stunning scenery of glaciers, rainforest and waterfalls, with commentary from the captain tying everything together. All in all a great day.

My wife and I had a wonderful time and highly recommend everyone to experience Milton Sound with True South Flights ( with our wonderful pilot Michael) and the cruise on Milton Sound provided by Pure Milford . 5.00True South were an amazing company to deal with right from the point of booking through to the incredible experience itself. We booked the fly-cruise-fly to Milford Sound over the Easter weekend and were originally booked in for Saturday morning but due to the weather, were unable to fly. When we spoke to the very helpful lady on the phone she advised not to rebook for the Sunday as the weather wasn't looking great then either but we took her advice to fly on the Monday and it was a STUNNER of a day - we absolutely lucked out! Our pilot - Luke - was super friendly, engaging and exceptionally professional and shared heaps of interesting information on both the outbound and return flights. He was fantastic (and I was stoked when we got Luke as he'd been popping up on the ad on my IG for months! Ha!). Instructions were clear from all staff and crew in between each transfer resulting in a slick experience and one where we could just relax and enjoy... Would highly recommend!
