Encounter real mountain flying and marvel at the most remarkable snow-capped mountains and glaciers onboard our fixed-wing aircraft. Flying across the Southern Alps, out to the West Coast and the Tasman Sea before flying through the Fiord itself to land in Milford Sound.
Once in Milford, your pilot will accompany you to the boat terminal. Discover the natural wonders of Milford Sound aboard your cruise vessel with open-air viewing decks, a perfect location for some wildlife spotting. The Fiord is home to fur seal colonies, penguins, and dolphins, who love playing in the wake of the boat. You will cruise the length of the Fiord out to the Tasman Sea with a pass under Sterling Falls on the return.

What To Expect
Milford Sound
Once in Milford Sound, your pilot will accompany you from the airport to the boat terminal. Everything is organised for you, you don't have to worry about a thing! Step on board your cruise lasting at least 1hr 45mins, you will travel the length of the Fiord and out to the Tasman Sea. Stopping at waterfalls and points of interest along the way, if you're lucky you'll also get to experience the local wildlife - the dolphins love playing in the wake of the boat!

5.00I honestly can’t recommend Glenorchy Air highly enough. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of incredible. The scenery alone is something you’ll never forget absolutely breathtaking in every direction but what truly made it special was the professionalism and care shown throughout the entire flight. Our pilot was exceptional calm, knowledgeable, and completely on point. You could tell we were in very safe hands, which made it easy to relax and fully take in the moment. There was something really grounding about the whole experience being up there, seeing that part of New Zealand from a completely different perspective, and feeling so well looked after at the same time. It’s one of those rare experiences that stays with you long after it’s over. Thank you to the team for making it so memorable. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

5.00Did the Coach, Cruise, Fly. Great time on all 3 probs and I think this is the best way to do it. Flight back was amazing. Great views and gave us more time to enjoy Queenstown afterwards. Included shuttle from airport back to our hotel, which was great. Rob was our pilot, and was phenomenal.

5.00Awesome experience. Our pilot, Perky, was an excellent pilot and a terrific tour guide. He made sure every passenger was as comfortable as possible throughout the flight, and shared so much history and information about the sights we passed along the journey. The whole Glenorchy Air team was incredibly professional through every interaction. Skip the drive to Milford… FLY!

5.00We had been on a cruise on Milford Sound and then got allocated our Pilot who was Annabelle. Weren’t we lucky a most inspirational pilot watching a real Pro at work getting us into the air and calmly explaining the topography as we past glaciers waterfalls lakes mountains and a load of other items I have forgotten. My thanks to a well run professional team.

5.00What a great experience! Do this trip if you possibly can. Our driver/guide, Mari, picked us up and provided interesting insights along the way. Once we got to the National Park we stopped several times to see highlights and take pics. She provided really interesting background information and kept us entertained in a lovely natural and charming way. Then we had the cruise which was fantastic. Milford Sound is just stunning from the water. After that there's the flight home which was another highlight. Our pilot, Annabelle, provided a smooth flight with a narrative along the way. Just spectacular views of the National Park and Queenstown from the air. We felt looked after all day. Everything went easily from one activity to another ending with Ivan dropping us off at our accommodation. Would very much recommend this tour.
