Once in Milford, your pilot will accompany you to the boat terminal. Discover the natural wonders of Milford Sound aboard your cruise vessel with open-air viewing decks, a perfect location for some wildlife spotting. The Fiord is home to fur seal colonies, penguins, and dolphins, who love playing in the wake of the boat. You will cruise the length of the Fiord out to the Tasman Sea with a pass under Stirling Falls on the return.

What To Expect
Milford Sound
Once in Milford Sound, your pilot will accompany you from the airport to the boat terminal. Everything is organised for you, you don't have to worry about a thing! Step on board your cruise lasting at least 1hr 45mins, you will travel the length of the Fiord and out to the Tasman Sea. Stopping at waterfalls and points of interest along the way, if you're lucky you'll also get to experience the local wildlife - the dolphins love playing in the wake of the boat!

5.00Incredible day visit to Milford Sound. The flight was just as magical as the boat tour and our pilot pointed out all of the spectacular views along the way. Everyone was very knowledgeable and it was an amazing adventure.

5.00Worth the money. Great customer experience right from pick-up by the driver and then Rob our pilot took us on a scenic flight into Milford Sound with wonderful and informative commentary. Was fortunate to ride in the cockpit which added to the fun. Took a different flight path on our return which allowed us to see more sights. Ada and the crew on board the cruise ship were very friendly and made sure we enjoyed the cruise. The waterfall and seals were the highlights for me. Highly recommended.
If you’re considering this trip, just do it!

5.00What a magnificent day! After having to reschedule due to weather, we couldn’t have asked for a better day. The pick up was on time and easy to find, check in was seamless and the staff were amazing. The flight to and from Milford Sound was smooth and truely magnificent. Our pilot, Annabelle, was competent, knowledgeable about the landmarks and an excellent pilot. The cruise was beautiful and the picnic lunch good value for money. Flight back was just as stunning. I would highly recommend this trip. It can get a bit bumpy so first time flyers may be nervous but the pilots are brilliant and make you feel completely at ease.

5.00We chose to fly back to Queenstown from Milford Sound after traveling there by coach. Will was our pilot and he made the experience enjoyable for a nervous flyer like myself. His knowledge of the landmarks, explanation of our flight path and sense of humor were second to none. We had glorious weather to showcase the beautiful terrain.

5.00⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our experience with Glenorchy Air was nothing short of extraordinary and easily one of the highlights of our Queenstown adventure. The journey began with a spectacular scenic flight, where every window offered a postcard-perfect view. Soaring above endless valleys, crystal-clear lakes, and the most breathtaking snow-capped mountain peaks I've ever seen was an experience I'll never forget. The pilot's (Annabelle) commentary added so much depth to the flight, pointing out landmarks and making us appreciate the incredible beauty of our country. The adventure continued with our Milford Sound cruise, which was equally unforgettable. Standing on the deck surrounded by towering cliffs and dramatic waterfalls felt surreal. One of my favourite moments was making my way to the front of the boat as we approached Stirling Falls. Getting close enough to feel the power of the waterfall was incredible—and yes, I got completely drenched! It was cold, exhilarating, and one of those rare travel moments that makes you feel truly alive. From the snow-covered mountain tops viewed from the air to the mist and spray of Milford Sound's waterfalls, every part of the day was magical. The professionalism, friendliness, and passion of the Glenorchy Air team made the entire experience seamless and memorable. If you're visiting Queenstown and wondering whether it's worth it, the answer is an emphatic yes.
