What To Expect
Te Anau Downs
Following departure form Te Anau, we have a 25min drive to Te Anau Downs. If the weather is appropriate, we stop here for a photo and sightseeing looking across Lake Te Anau and down the Middle Fjord.
Mirror Lakes Walk
Following a 20min drive, we arrive at Mirror Lakes. This short 2-minute nature walk on well formed tracks and boardwalks will have you at the tranquil Mirror Lakes, the backdrop of the Earl Mountains behind them. This is a challenge for any travelling photographer to capture the essence of the lakes - their mirror reflection.

5.00The epic scale of the scenery captivated us. Waterfalls, mountains, snow, native bush and the best tour guide in Nicky who took us to some really beautiful stops. Nicky was so friendly and her knowledge of the area was awesome. The tour was run so well with everything timed like clock work. The special seats for us on the cruise were a great touch. 5.00Excellent trip with the very knowledgeable and highly entertaining Murray. More than we expected with stop offs along route to see and explore the beautiful and diverse landscape on the way to the Milford Sound Cruise - it felt like each stop was the highlight of the trip. Delicious coffee break with scones en-route. Thoroughly recommended.

5.00Luxe Tours do exactly what they say they will do and their attention to detail is very apparent. This was a small group tour of 9 guests and the sprinter van has more leg room and space than we have ever experienced before and exactly as described on their website. Our guide Andreas was fantastic, personable, great communicator and gave a really informative narrative during the drive and made sure we got to stop at the best view points. The walk in the Alpine forest was great and Andreas really brought the environment to life with his knowledge and clear love of the wonders of Fjordland. This was all before we even got to Milford Sound for the cruise which was memorable. The skipper also did his utmost to make sure we got to see all that the sound had to offer. Fabulous tour and great value for money and worth every penny. Luxe Tours are a relatively young company and deserve to be successful

5.00Our host was Jonno , we had a small group which was good. Jonno ensured we had heaps of photo stops along the way and we enjoyed morning tea overlooking the lake and mountains. He also talked about the mountains and the formation of them , which was interesting. The boat ride on Milford sound was also spectacular (shame the sun didnt come out to play) . A really really great day with a very knowledgable host.

5.00We were picked up from our accommodation, which was a great start. There was only another five people on the bus. The Wednesday driver was Jono, he was a mindfull of information, very interesting and a safe driver. We stopped for lots of photo ops and clean toilets! The trip included a boat excursion around Milford Sound, we saw dolphins and a baby fur seal, lots of waterfalls and had lunch included at a reserved table. The scenery was awesome, the weather fantastic. We couldn't have wished for a better day. I would definitely recommend Luxe Tours, and would go again with them if the opportunity arose.

5.00I can’t recommend this tour enough. Our tour guide Jono was sensational! The trip was so carefully planned and each detail made the trip and experience so comfortable and enjoyable. With the smaller numbers it meant we had more time to stop and take in all the amazing sights Enroute to Milford sounds. Truly a fabulous experience!

5.00We had the most amazing day with Luxe tours, the mini bus was luxurious and comfortable, every need catered for. Nicky are guide for the day was lovely, friendly and knowledgeable, and pointed us in the right direction. Would absolutely recommend luxe for your visit to Milford sound which is stunning even in the rain
