Larkin House
Larkin House, built in the 1830s by Thomas Larkin, is one of Monterey’s oldest and most haunted landmarks. The spirit of Larkin’s wife is said to roam the halls, with visitors reporting cold spots and the sound of footsteps when no one is around. The house’s history as a social hub during California’s early days seems to have left a few guests behind.
The General Sherman Quarters, once home to the famous Civil War general, is rumored to be haunted by the man himself. Visitors have reported seeing his ghostly figure, dressed in full military uniform, surveying his old quarters. The eerie atmosphere and lingering presence of the general make this a chilling stop on the tour.

We loved this ghost tour! Very interesting history, and a rainier night made for a moodier experience.

Great tour with informative historical overview. We learned more about the history of Monterey in a little over and hour that I did in a year of California history in high school. and it was an engaging and fun LEARNING experience. Our tour guide-- Adam -- was fantastic.

My fiancé and I had such a great time doing the ghost tour. We rented an EMF reader for $7 and added 4 more locations for an additional $7 (30 more minutes). For two tickets it was $64 for 1 hour. Would most definitely do it again! Our tour guide Cory was so amazing, she was super friendly and gave us so much history about Monterey. I loved her energy and she told us about other locations not included in the tour.

We took the last tour of the day and it was a blast. My 16 year daughter loved it. The spooky atmosphere really gives life to stories being told.

Was somewhat light on material, but then the $32 price PP was reasonable for only a one-hour tour. Ethan did a great job however -- was excellent at the storytelling.

Part history, part ghosts, but all exciting! Our tour guide (Ari?) did a great job and was friendly and did a good job with a smaller group. Would recommend!
