All bookings require a minimum of 4 passengers to be confirmed. Passengers not meeting the minimum will be waitlisted until numbers are met
A fee of 20% of the tour cost applies when cancelling 8-14days prior to tour departure date and a fee of 50% of the tour cost applies to any cancellation 1-7 days prior to departure date. No refund will apply to passengers cancelling later than 4pm the day prior to the tour departure. Cancellation of seats and refund on compassionate grounds will be at the discretion of Broome Aviation. Prices are subject to change without prior notice. Credit cards may attract a surcharge of between 1-5%. Passengers deemed intoxicated will be refused entry onto the aircraft and no refund provided.

What To Expect
King Leopold Ranges Conservation Park
Departing Broome, you head over the township of Broome passing over Chinatown, Roebuck Bay and surrounds. The flight path takes you over Malcolm Douglas Crocodile farm and the Broome Road, flying over the inspiring remote Kimberley plains before landing at Mount Hart station enjoy a deliciously prepared morning tea while taking in the scenery of the historic outback station. Departing Mt Hart station you will see some of the most remote Kimberley wilderness such as the King Leopold Ranges. The King Leopold Ranges extend for three hundred kilometres from Walcott Inlet, in the West to roughly one hundred kilometres from Halls Creek in the East. The ranges consist of long, rugged, spinifex-covered ridges and escarpments. Mount Ord at nine hundred and forty seven metres above sea level and Mount Broome at nine hundred and thirty five metres are the highest peaks in the range.
Mitchell Plateau
The Mitchell Falls come into view, a spectacular series of four waterfalls which run at varying intensity all year round. Here is a fantastic photo opportunity to wonder at these amazing falls. Your journey continues to the Prince Regent River to view the impressive King Cascade Falls. These are at an elevation of approximately fifty metres above sea level. During the next few hours the aircraft passes over Montgomery Islands, one of the wonders of the Kimberley coast, Montgomery Reef is a spectacle to behold as the entire reef appears to rise from the ocean on a falling tide. With tidal differences of over ten metres over a single spring tide cycle, nearly five metres of reef gradually emerges from the ocean, as water cascades down numerous channels. Montgomery Reef and The Montgomery Islands lie twenty km’s off the central Kimberley coast

5.00Our tour was The Mitchell Falls Scenic flight, 8 hours, our extremely competent pilot was Marius. Included was pick up at our hotel, and 8 hours experiencing the spectacular scenery, mainly north of Broome. We flew over the Kimberley and Wunaamin Miliwundi Ranges to our 1st landing at Mount Hart Station for a substantial, cooked breakfast. After take off we flew over the Mitchell Falls, the Prince Regent River, the King Cascade Falls. Montgomery Reef and the Horizontal Falls. Marius expertly manoeuvred the plane so all 4 people on board could take extensive photographs of the spectacular views. We then flew over the Buccaneer Archipeligo and it's many Islands before our 2nd landing at Cygnet Bay. Here we had a delicious lunch, a comprehensive tour of the pearl farm and a swim. Take off saw us flying back to Broome over the coast. Marius pointed out and named all the Beaches, Points, and Bays along the way. Thank you Broome aviation and employees for an interesting, informative, spectacular birds eye view of this area of Western Australia. A great way to see the highlights when time is limited.

5.00We decided to do this tour because we missed seeing the Mitchell Falls earlier in our trip due to weather. It did not disappoint! From pick up to drop off at the end of the day we were very well looked after by Broome Aviation. We felt in safe hands with our pilot Tom who was attentive to passenger comfort and needs and was very informative and gave explanations of the landscape, the places we landed and some history. Tom ensured both sides of the plane got a good view of the major sites, especially Mitchell Falls and Horizontal Falls. We had two landings during the trip: Mount Hart station which provided a big breakfast of cereals, juice, toast as well as a full cooked breakfast; and Cygnet Pearl Farm where we had a lovely lunch of Barra, rice & salad accompanied by iced tea then a tour of the pearl farm. The reason to do this tour though is the spectacular landscape! The waterfalls, the changing scenery and the spectacular colours! We have done a cruise from Darwin to Broome so had seen some of these places from sea and land but seeing this part of Australia from the air gives a different perspective!

5.00This tour was amazing! The landforms were so unique and varied. We stopped for breakfast at Mt Hart station resort where the staff were so welcoming. Then our capable pilot Marius flew us over the gorges and river systems up to the stunning Mitchell Falls with plenty of opportunities for photos. Then we followed the river out to the ocean. Wow! A delicious lunch at Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm and the best commentry I have ever heard on the process of seeding a pearl oyster and the history of this fascinating industry unique to Broome. We were in very good hands with our pilot Marius, who made us feel comfortable and safe throughout the tour. Highly recommended.

5.00Marius was our pilot and host very good with commentary and answered questions asked if he didn’t know he was honest in telling us and promptly found out from other sources. He was very attentive to my travel companion when she fell ill and was amazing in his landings Jet Star and Virgin pilots need to learn from his skill lol

5.00Yesterday, my wife and I had a truly memorable and marvellous experience, with our pilot Hylton, who kept us amused and informed from 7am until 5pm. We had an early hotel pickup at 6:15am and the Broome Aviation team had complimentary snacks available whilst we had a safety briefing before departure. We had two fellow passengers in a Cessna 210, so it was almost fully loaded. Nevertheless, we spent almost 6hrs in flight during the full day tour, all in relative comfort. Our first leg was to Mount Hart, where we had a substantial cooked breakfast, before our main flight up to the Mitchell Falls. We circled the falls in both directions, which provided excellent photo opportunities from both sides. We then flew back via the Horizontal Falls, with similar rotations, then onward to land at Cygnet Bay for lunch and a tour of the pearl farm. The last leg of our journey was from Cygnet Bay back to Broome Airport, following the coast for crocodile, shark and whale spotting. Unfortunately, we had no confirmed sightings, but that did not spoil our enjoyment of the beautiful scenery. Throughout the entire day, our pilot Hylton kept us informed and entertained, with historical, geographical and legendary information. All passengers had headphones, with microphones, so we were all able to communicate as a group, when it was safe to do so. Viewing such magnificent scenery from the air is an unmissable experience and we saw so much more from height than we would have done had we toured the area at sea or ground level (cruising or land vehicle). The landscape constantly changed and it was fascinating to see how the geography transitions through multiple forms that have been developing for millions of years. We loved every second of our almost 11hrs in their capable hands (and aircraft). We thoroughly recommend both this extensive tour and Broome Aviation, as the service provider. The team’s friendly and committed service made yesterday a day we will never forget. Thank you all.
