Molokini is an extinct volcanic cone and the snorkeling visibility is usually 100 feet or more! Many different species of marine life live within Molokini. Green sea turtles, fish, urchins, harmless sharks, manta rays and coral surrounded by crystal clear water all year around make Molokini a must do on your vacation activity list. This boat tour is on all tourist must see lists, and it's one of Maui's favorite activities. This is also one of Maui's most family-friendly activities.

What To Expect
Join us on our awesome Molokini and Turtle Town snorkeling adventure aboard Malolo. Malolo is a 55 foot comfortable, stable catamaran. She is equipped with easy access stairways into the water on both the front and rear of the boat. There are also 2 restrooms, trampolines to lay out on and a friendly, experienced captain and crew. A continental breakfast and deli lunch are both included as is all your top-notch snorkeling gear. We also have flotation devices such as foam noodles, body boards and float vests for your use. Optional wetsuits and high quality 16 mega pixel Olympus underwater digital cameras are available to rent.

2.00Boat guide said it’s the 2nd windiest port in the world and it was too windy to snorkel at Molokini. So we went to a backup spot near the highway right off of Maui island. We were literally anchored within 500 yards of cars driving by. Not quite the picture that was painted. I wonder how often this happens if it’s windy almost all the time? Lunch was hot dogs and small bags of chips. The boat was smaller than others we saw going out. If I had to do it over, I would’ve saved the money and I could’ve found better snorkeling on my own.

3.00The boat was way overcrowded with at least 60-65 people onboard. There was a group of 29 that took up most of the crew’s attention that should have been a separate charter. Hardly any room to sit and constantly tripping over snorkeling equipment. Waters were choppy at the crater- not the crews fault - people were getting sick and throwing up and the crew did their best to help. Smoother snorkeling at the next location but by then we were tired of trying to navigate through the crowd. Not the crews fault or the group of 29 whic included a lot of young people. I blame the company who allowed this boat to be this full and suspect it may have exceeded regulation capacity. Owners of charter clearly value quantity over quality.
