Explore the natural wonders of Molokini Crater, a volcanic islet 3 miles (4.8 km) off the coast of Maui, on this snorkeling tour from Maalaea. Surrounded by clear tropical waters, this extinct cone is home to many species of marine life, such as fish, sea urchins, sharks, manta rays, and coral. Molokini is a marine preserve, meaning nothing can be disturbed, keeping the island and underwater environment pristine. You'll also explore Turtle Town, and admire native birds. Two water slides, a glass bottom viewing room, and a "leap of faith" are also available if you don't want to snorkel or finish early. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, soda, and juice are included.

Wheelchair accessible. Motorized wheelchairs and electric scooters are not able to be accommodated. Manual wheelchairs are allowed up to a maximum width of 28". Personal weight restriction of approximately 280 pounds due to the ramp configuration and ability of crew to assist in boarding the wheelchair with the occupant.

What To Expect
A tour with the Calypso is one of the most fun on Maui! This stable, high-speed, triple-decker catamaran will get you to two snorkel sites fast: Molokini Crater and Turtle Town, and with all the equipment you need and plenty of food on board, what more could you ask for? The Calypso leaves from Ma’alaea Harbor, and after you are welcomed aboard by your friendly crew, you can take a look at the delicious continental breakfast. After everyone is settled in, it’s off to the most popular underwater destination in Maui for some Molokini snorkeling! While you are enjoying the feel of the ocean wind in your hair. Molokini Crater is located between the islands of Maui and Kaho’olawe. This beautiful site is not only home to several fish species, but many species of birds, as well! The crater is a designated Marine Life Conservation District and bird preserve, so no fishing or climbing on the crater is allowed, but wearing flippers and a mask to watch the fish is perfectly wonderful. After your Molokini snorkeling, Calypso will whisk you to Turtle Town – a second snorkeling spot. Off the south side of Maui, Turtle Town is home to several large sea turtles as well as dynamic reef fish.

5.00We had a great time on the Calypso. It wasn’t clear to me that the tour included 2 stops for a total of 5 1/2 hours of touring. Molokini was a breathtaking site for snorkeling but after an hour of snorkeling it gets tiring so it was fun to have a large boat with other activities. She slide and jumping platform were great. The second stop at turtle town was best! We saw so many turtles. Each time we boarded there were lots of snacks and drinks waiting for us. If you leave hungry or thirsty, it’s your own fault.

5.00This was an extremely well organized crew and a great snorkeling experience. They were like a well-oiled machine and very friendly. The attention to safety was great - I've been on a tour where they almost throw you in and hope for the best - not so with these guys. The gear was all top notch. The two snorkeling locations were good, we saw plenty of fish and Hawaiian green turtles. To top it off, the BBQ food for lunch was great - more than I was expecting. Definitely recommend these guys.

5.00We had the most fantastic time! I highly recommend this trip! The crew was amazing, the food was delicious! The crew was so happy and accommodating. My first time snorkeling and I had so much fun! We saw fish, turtles, beautiful clear blue water, things I had never seen before. What a fantastic day!

5.00We had an incredible experience with Calypso Snorkel Tour! From start to finish, everything was seamless and well-organized. The crew was absolutely amazing, super friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel safe and comfortable the entire time. The snorkeling spots were beautiful, with crystal-clear water and tons of marine life. We saw so many fish and even got lucky with some sea turtles and a baby whale. The equipment was clean and easy to use, and the crew was always nearby to help if needed. They also provided great food and drinks, which made the whole experience even better. You can really tell they go above and beyond to make sure everyone has a great time. This was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Maui. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting, worth every penny!

5.00We had a great experience. Crew and captain were super friendly and made sure everyone had a good time. Scenery was amazing and we saw a few turtles. Overall fee for the tour was affordable and the boat was not too crowded. They provided breakfast and lunch on the boat and drinks were cheap. I would do it again.

4.00It was a really enjoyable experience. We saw plenty of fish and turtles, and my older son and I even got to spot an eel, which was a highlight. They also have a water slide and designated spots on the second deck where you can safely jump off the boat, which added a lot of fun to the trip. Breakfast was continental, with muffins, sausage, coffee, and juice. The eggs were quite watery, so I chose not to eat them. Lunch consisted of deli sandwiches and chips, and they also offered a snack selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. Overall, we had a great time, and the location was easy to find.

5.00This is a 3 story boat with lots of people on the ride. But it doesn’t feel too packed ever because of being in and out of the water. Best experience we have ever had in Maui. The staff is kind and knowledgeable.
