Explore the natural wonders of Molokini Crater, a volcanic islet 3 miles (4.8 km) off the coast of Maui, on this snorkeling tour from Maalaea. Surrounded by clear tropical waters, this extinct cone is home to many species of marine life, such as fish, sea urchins, sharks, manta rays, and coral. Molokini is a marine preserve, meaning nothing can be disturbed, keeping the island and underwater environment pristine. You'll also explore Turtle Town, and admire native birds. Two water slides, a glass bottom viewing room, and a "leap of faith" are also available if you don't want to snorkel or finish early. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, soda, and juice are included.

Wheelchair accessible. Motorized wheelchairs and electric scooters are not able to be accommodated. Manual wheelchairs are allowed up to a maximum width of 28". Personal weight restriction of approximately 280 pounds due to the ramp configuration and ability of crew to assist in boarding the wheelchair with the occupant.

What To Expect
A tour with the Calypso is one of the most fun on Maui! This stable, high-speed, triple-decker catamaran will get you to two snorkel sites fast: Molokini Crater and Turtle Town, and with all the equipment you need and plenty of food on board, what more could you ask for? The Calypso leaves from Ma’alaea Harbor, and after you are welcomed aboard by your friendly crew, you can take a look at the delicious continental breakfast. After everyone is settled in, it’s off to the most popular underwater destination in Maui for some Molokini snorkeling! While you are enjoying the feel of the ocean wind in your hair. Molokini Crater is located between the islands of Maui and Kaho’olawe. This beautiful site is not only home to several fish species, but many species of birds, as well! The crater is a designated Marine Life Conservation District and bird preserve, so no fishing or climbing on the crater is allowed, but wearing flippers and a mask to watch the fish is perfectly wonderful. After your Molokini snorkeling, Calypso will whisk you to Turtle Town – a second snorkeling spot. Off the south side of Maui, Turtle Town is home to several large sea turtles as well as dynamic reef fish.

5.00Last month, when I was in Maui on vacation, I couldn't go snorkeling on the beach because of the flooding from the week before. Thus, I asked my hotel to book me on a boat to go snorkeling further away from the island. They were able to squeeze me in on the Calypso at the last minute. The boat was large, so I didn't get seasick. The food was above average, but what I liked most was the crew. They were very attentive. Overall, I had a great experience and would highly recommend it!

The captain and first mate narrated the experience with humor and made sure we saw whales. The photographer was a blast. I highly recommend this outing!

5.00My wife and I loved our trip out to Molokini on the Calypso! The crew was fun, friendly and professional. They provided great instruction to get people acquainted with snorkeling if they hadn't snorkeled before, and gave good directions of what to look for in the water. The boat had plenty of ladders to get into the water, so there really wasn't much of a wait to get in. The jump platform and slides on the boat added another element of fun to the trip! I definitely recommend this tour!

5.00Amazing experience. The whole crew was so nice and friendly. Kids loved the whole experience. The snorkeling gear was in great shape and the food was really good as well. Even got to see whales (captain spotted them and diverted the boat to get to them). Will definitely come back.

1.00Do not park in undesignated areas, you will get towed to the most ghetto area of Maui where you’ll feel completely unsafe.
