A tour with the Calypso is one of the most fun on Maui! This stable, high-speed, triple-decker catamaran will get you to two snorkel sites fast: Molokini Crater and Turtle Town, and with all the equipment you need and plenty of food on board, what more could you ask for? The Calypso leaves from Ma’alaea Harbor, and after you are welcomed aboard by your friendly crew, you can take a look at the delicious continental breakfast. After everyone is settled in, it’s off to the most popular underwater destination in Maui for some Molokini snorkeling! While you are enjoying the feel of the ocean wind in your hair. Molokini Crater is located between the islands of Maui and Kaho’olawe. This beautiful site is not only home to several fish species, but many species of birds, as well! The crater is a designated Marine Life Conservation District and bird preserve, so no fishing or climbing on the crater is allowed, but wearing flippers and a mask to watch the fish is perfectly wonderful. After your Molokini snorkeling, Calypso will whisk you to Turtle Town – a second snorkeling spot. Off the south side of Maui, Turtle Town is home to several large sea turtles as well as dynamic reef fish.
Duration: 5 hours: Tour Duration is 5 - 6 hours; depending on ocean conditions.
Molokini Snorkel Adventure: Visit Maui’s #1 snorkeling and diving destination Molokini Crater. Located 3 miles off Maui, the visibility is often 180 feet! Also stop at the world famous "Turtle Town" to swim with sea turtles.

"We had a fantastic trip with Calypso! Despite challenging weather that prevented a Molokini visit, the captain quickly pivoted and took us to a spectacular alternative snorkeling spot—it was truly amazing! We even got a memorable whale watching experience. The service, including breakfast and lunch, was top-notch, and the staff were fun and highly knowledgeable. My family was thrilled with our day on the water!"

We did the snorkel trip and it was fantastic. We saw a monk seal that interacted with all of us. Which was unbelievable. The staff was amazing and attentive. The food was good. And we did love the ice cream. The photographer (Marney) was wonderful.

The crew was wonderful and fun. The food was adequate. Unfortunately, the weather was not great and the snorkeling at Molakini was very choppy and not very enjoyable. The time at turtle town was confusing and we didn’t see any turtles. Although others in our party did. The slides on the boat were fun. The captain was great! And funny! We unfortunately had family members throw up off the boat and throw up in the water because of the amount of chop/waves. Interestingly, an older passenger had to be rescued from the boat by Coast Guard because of not feeling well, so that took up an hour of our time. Hopefully she’s OK. We hoped the experience would replace a not pleasant experience from many years ago, but that unfortunately wasn’t the case. Most of this was not the fault of any of the crew members or the company itself. I would still recommend it to anyone. Most of this was just happenstance or timing. I do commend the crew for being so professional and fun and accommodating.

We had the most wonderful experience with the Calypso Snorkel Boat!!! I have high expectations of anything I pay good money for- and we were blown away with the entire Calypso Experience. The staff was top-notch, so kind & helpful & seem to truly love & enjoy their job. The captain was so informative and funny and proud of his staff. We snorkeled at Molokini and saw SO many fish! We snorkeled at Turtle Town and saw 6 green sea turtles! and on our way back to the harbor- the captain took extra time to drive us around to see if we could spot a humpback whale- AND WE DID! It's rare to see a humpback whale this early in the season, but the captain was knowledgeable & patient- and we were so grateful that he spent the extra time so we could experience this special moment. Also- the food was GREAT! I am so picky about food and we loved it! A couple shout-outs to the staff- Violeta, Darius, the captain and the photographer!!!!!! Everyone was amazing, but we had specific interactions with these people and they really made our experience! Worth every penny and more for tips- we were happy to tip and tell everyone about it!

Worth the extra money. Literally could come with the cloths on your back and a towel and have the time of your life. Very clean boat with lots of seating. Food and drinks were available the entire time. Crew and captain were funny and friendly. they have body boards with windows for small children. Even our 6 year old had a blast! My go pro was not charged but they had ones to use for free! Pictures are $160 for the go pro media and all the pictures taken by the photographer. After viewing his work we decided it was worth it. Over all an epic adventure catering to the whole family!

Very nice people and nice big boat which was good for sea sickness. Large group of snorkelers on board made the snorkeling a little squishy with other boats dropping off at same time and waiting to get in the water but we saw lots of fish 🐠
