This was a wonderful experience! We toured early in the morning and had a guide. DONT DO THIS WITHOUT A GUIDE!!! There was another couple hiking without a guide and they stated they didn’t see any animals at all! We saw sooo many animals! Howler monkeys, sloths, birds, strange animals that looked like a raccoon and a monkey had a baby (very cool but can’t remember the name), colorful birds. The guide helped to point them out and used a monocle so we could take close up picks with our phones. The authentic yukka pancake snack and juice at the end were a wonderful treat as well. Wear bug spray.

We had the opportunity to take a guided tour of Monkey Park and it went well beyond our expectations. It was just the 2 of us as 4 cancelled last minute. Our tour guide was David, and he was awesome. Knowledgeable, engaging and joyful as well. Our 2 plus hours gave us sightings of multiple Howler and Cappuchin monkeys, a group of coatis, several sloth, poisonous frogs, and lots more wildlife. We also learned so much about Costa Rica and its history. The walk finished off with a nice freshly made snack too. Highly recommend this tour.

Had a lovely walk through the forest. Within the first 10 minutes, saw capuchin monkeys, howler monkeys and sloths. Would not have seen any without the guide. A very peaceful walk!

Very good experience! The guide is more than useful and helps you find the monkeys and take great pictures. There is a lot of other animals there.

Wonderful day. So many types of brightly colored birds, most of which I would’ve missed except for my wonderful guide. I used the Merlin bird song app, but my guide identified the sound before the app, and was amazing at finding them among all the trees and dense foliage. Saw a sloth with a baby, tons of coatimundis, and my favorite, the monkeys! Capuchins all around and several really close. The guides carry a huge telescope, so even when the animals aren’t close, they aim it for you and even can take pictures through it for you. If I could stay here longer, I would go back every single day. The trail is flat. The forest is beautiful.

5/5 It was absolutely incredible! Our guide welcomed us so warmly. Even though we were the only ones booked for that time, the tour still went ahead. He took us through the jungle, showed us so many animals, and spoke about each one in such an interesting way. He even helped us take photos and videos through his spotting scope. Highly recommended! It was an unforgettable adventure. We saw snakes, sloths (including a pregnant female and a mother with her baby), an owl, many kinds of monkeys, and many other animals!

We look at many animals like white-faced monkeys, a sloth, spiders, a snake. We went alone but with a guide we saw more. I like that here animals are free and how they take care of the road
