We had a wonderful time learning about Nepal and Kathmandu on this tour. We really appreciate the knowledge that Santosh shared with and related so much of it to his own life’s experiences.

Sandip make a wonderful journey. It was very interesting to listen to him and to let him tell us the stories of the temple and about Kathmandu. A very pleasant person, and I would definitely meet him again.

The Monkey Temple tour was an amazing highlight of my time in Kathmandu. What made the experience truly wonderful was my guide, Sandip. He was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable about the local culture, a great storyteller, and spoke excellent English. With the streets of Kathmandu being so chaotic, having a calm and helpful guide like Sandip made a huge difference in navigating the way to the temple. The temple itself was beautiful and fascinating, and the monkeys added a unique charm without being aggressive.

I did a solo guided tour to Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) with Santosh, and it was an amazing experience. We also stopped at a few smaller Buddhist stupas along the way, which made the tour even more special. Santosh explained the story of Buddha and how Buddhism and Hinduism beautifully coexist in Nepal — he made everything so interesting and easy to understand. He was kind, patient, and very knowledgeable, and I really appreciated how he shared not just historical facts but also the spiritual meaning behind the places we visited. I felt like I learned so much and truly connected with the culture. I highly recommend this tour and Santosh to anyone visiting Kathmandu — especially if you’re traveling solo!

I was doing a walking tour with Santosh and for the few hours we spent together he gave me a great insight in history and background to learn more about nepali culture. Despite the rainy weather we managed to see everything . I can highly recommend Santosh as a guide :)

Santosh was an excellent guide for this walking tour. He shared stories as we visited different temples along the way, giving a great insight into the history of the country. The walk was not rushed and we had ample time to explore different sections of the monkey temple once we arrived.

Great trip to the Monkey temple with our amazing guide Sandip (aka Frankie) So knowledgable & friendly we had a truly magical afternoon. I recommend doing this tour at sunset to make it extra special. The whole area is wonderful & the colony of monkeys that live in the surrounding woodland are so entertaining. 5 stars all the way.
