As one of the only places in the world to whale watch year-round, Monterey Bay is abundant with a huge diversity of sea life, and is at the top of many things to do in Monterey. As a protected marine sanctuary rich with nutrients, the Monterey Bay Submarine Canyon thrives with a bounty of breathtaking wildlife including Humpback Whales, Killer Whales, Gray Whales, Blue Whales, Sperm Whales, Risso Dolphins, Long Beaked Common Dolphin, Bottlenose Dolphin, Dall’s Porpoise, Mola Mola aka Ocean Sunfish, Jellyfish, Sea Turtles, Sea Lions, Pelicans, Sea Otters and so much more! Board the 2 largest boats in the Monterey fleet the 110ft. Princess Monterey and the 100ft Atlantis Monterey. Limited VIP upper deck seating optional upgrade for an additional charge of $20 per person at time of check in if space is available.

5.00This was a great adventure. We went on the 9am trip, had fantastic weather and a very welcoming crew. Had to travel out about 45 minutes before we spotted any whales. Only saw one at first but then it got busy! Overall had to have spotted no less than 15 humpbacks and were bless with one breach! The crew was awesome. A trip well worth taking!

5.00It’s a lifetime experience to watch huge beautiful whales from such a close distance. There were plenty of them playing around in their majestic way. It’s a must watch tour. The Boat, crew and staff were very friendly and hospitable.

5.00The crew knew a lot about the particular whale pod we caught up with. The little one jumped out of the water several tomes for us. Been whale watching several times out of San Fran, Cabo and Maui and never saw this much interaction this close. Took my older son (25) as he has never gone out before.
