What To Expect
We will start from the Old City at the above mentioned meeting point at 4:00 pm. It is necessary to arrive 10 minutes before in order to organize the tour details. We will start the bike tour through Ciudad vieja, which we will get to know completely. We will go through the Rambla that characterizes the coast of Montevideo with a route of 22km that allows us to appreciate its beach and its genuine beauty and also, realize a typical path in a citizen's life. From there we will go through Dique Maua that encompasses an entire urban infrastructure, the headquarters of Mercosur, the Rodó Park with many green spaces and attractions. Then, we will continue by the Teatro de Verano, the Golf Club, the Monument to the Jewish Holocaust evoking el Muro de los Lamentos, then, we will pass by the Punta Carretas Lighthouse at the edge of the Rio de la Plata. Later we will see the medieval facade of the Castillo Pittamiglio, Trouville Square, Pocitos Beach, the Montevideo Sign, the Naval Museum and the Diving Port. To finish the tour, we will return along the Rambla to the starting point.

1.00This was a horrible experience . Got off cruise ship and went to the address provided . It cost 10$ and turned out to be a dump on the outskirts of town . The Uber driver wouldn’t let us get out . The phone number provided said they weren’t available. The driver told us it could be a street near the cruise ship but there was no street address available . I couldn’t warn you enough to not trust Viator . I have used them in the past but this will never happen again .

5.00The address for the start of this tour was clearly stated in the tour ticket, however we used the "get directions" link on the Viator app. We didn't pay enough attention, but the "get directions" link sent us to a wrong address. We contacted the tour operator and Viator via WhatsApp and both were very unhelpful. We arrived about 10 minutes late to the correct location, and thank goodness Stella was there to help us. After a few calls, she straightened everything out and personally guided us to the tour. After this mixup, the rest of the tour was fantastic. Our guide Jorge was passionate about Uraguaian history and culture. We saw historical architecture, local groups practicing for Carnival, locals dancing tango, beautiful beaches, and learned much about Uraguaian history. We loved Jorge's passion about his country and we are so incredibly thankful to both him and Stella for getting us on this tour. Very easy and safe bike ride, full of history, beauty, culture and fun.
