Where you are standing right now is the very spot where Rosa Parks was arrested for refusing to give up her seat because of the color of her skin. She was not the first, nor the last to be arrested. But her actions sparked the civil rights movement and brought national attention to Martin Luther King Jr. Here you will hear the story of what happened that day. Our tour starts here. We will only be outside. If you want to go inside you can pause the tour and buy a ticket. This is an outdoor walking tour.
We will stop by the courthouse and hear about Judge Johnson who ruled in favor of Rosa Parks and changed history.

The narration was interesting and informative. The instructions were also very easy to use. It was nice to be able to go at your own pace and stop and start if you wanted to.

The directions were clear and the stories interesting. Timing a bit off for us but allows you to stop and reflect. Use the pause button.

Really straightforward way of doing a walking tour at a time that suits you, and at a pace that suits as well. Easy to set up and follow, added links in the app and good audio quality. Content was excellent as well! Recommended.

Great option to take your time to see the important sites. It was really hot that day, so I opted to drive from stop to stop, instead of walking. Since it was Labor Day, the entire downtown area was desolate, so I could pull over and didn't have to look for parking. The narration was easy to understand. The sound effects really added to the experience.

It was really nice. I didn’t know before that Montgomery was that rich and deep in history. I just thought it was like most historical places in the South. I like that the tour is self-paced and you choose whenever you want to get started. I would definitely do self paced GPS again ! Very informative and I liked they also would play actual voice recordings (MLK, jr.) on some landmarks.

The navigation in the app was paced well and accurate. I recommend visiting the museums along the way to cool off. The Rosa Parks museum was exceptional. Although it's not on the tour, visit the Alabama Bicentennial Park which is a spectacular bronze statue Park right before the Alabama capital.
