Discover one of the most mystic Catalan wonders on our 4-and-a-half-hour tour. Take the cog-wheel train or the cable car and enjoy a breathtaking ride up the mountain. Walk around the sanctuary and imagine the many lives lived by the monks at the site through the centuries. Finally, visit the Black Madonna known as La Moreneta in the Basilica or taste some of the local liquors made in the area.

Correct dress code is requested to enter the Basilica at Montserrat. It is not permitted to enter with tank tops, strapless shirts, short shorts or sandals

Queues to see the Black Madonna may occur depending on season.

The Cable car facilities are not adapted for people with reduced mobility. In this case, it will be necessary to make the reservation with the ascent to Montserrat by the cog-wheel train.

What To Expect

After a 1h drive on the highway, board the cog-wheel train or the Aeri cable car up the mountain and enjoy the amazing views over the area

During the first part of the tour you will enjoy an introduction to the history of the monastery. Once the guided tour has ended, you will have free time to enjoy de fabulous land scape by yourself, to visit the local food market, to visit de audiovisual exhibition and to taste some typical liqueurs.

We decided to go on this tour because of the great ratings! We were not let down! Jessika and Nuria were very good guides! They were knowledgeable and funny! Alex, our driver, was a safe driver who also added a positive note to ur trip! Montserrat was stunning and enlightening on traditional Spanish history and culture. I highly recommend this tour! My mom got to cross this experience off her bucket list for her 80th birthday. She has arthritis, and it was hot, and a short steep climb from the gondola terminal was difficult. But she made it. Ivan was very attentive which I really appreciated. We didn’t have cash but I wish he had a QR code for his Venmo/Zelle so we could have tipped. The pick up was a far ways to walk for me mom. We didn’t notice the bus for people needing assistance until we were already there.

Spectacular views! Lines were long even with a group pass to see the Black Madonna. So much to see and do, so little time! My only complaint was the bus seats. They were broken and the seat in front of you was right in your face. Our guide Miri was very knowledge!
