Discover one of the most mystic Catalan wonders on our 4-and-a-half-hour tour. Take the cog-wheel train or the cable car and enjoy a breathtaking ride up the mountain. Walk around the sanctuary and imagine the many lives lived by the monks at the site through the centuries. Finally, visit the Black Madonna known as La Moreneta in the Basilica or taste some of the local liquors made in the area.

Correct dress code is requested to enter the Basilica at Montserrat. It is not permitted to enter with tank tops, strapless shirts, short shorts or sandals
Queues to see the Black Madonna may occur depending on season.
The Cable car facilities are not adapted for people with reduced mobility. In this case, it will be necessary to make the reservation with the ascent to Montserrat by the cog-wheel train.

What To Expect
Cremallera de Montserrat
After a 1h drive on the highway, board the cog-wheel train or the Aeri cable car up the mountain and enjoy the amazing views over the area
Abadia de Montserrat
During the first part of the tour you will enjoy an introduction to the history of the monastery. Once the guided tour has ended, you will have free time to enjoy de fabulous land scape by yourself, to visit the local food market, to visit de audiovisual exhibition and to taste some typical liqueurs.

3.00The monestary was beautiful and seeing the black Madonna was a moving experience. The girls working the desk at Julia travel were not nice (mean to people on multiple occasions). The bus’ ac was not very good. The funicular ride and monastery were great, travel company was not. I would try and find a driver to take you privately.
