Here, visit the Montserrat Monastery and, if option selected, a boutique historic winery. Set within a 10th century castle, tour the vineyards and head to the wine cellar to learn about wine production and taste three exquisite wines and a local tapas lunch.

Tours start at 8:30 a.m. or 9:45 a.m. (depending on the season). Please arrive 20 minutes before the start time because check-in is required at our office before proceeding to the buses area.

Groups are limited to 20 people per guide, though in rare cases may increase to 22. Transportation is shared with other groups.

Comfortable clothes and walking shoes are recommended. Montserrat and the winery may have more extreme temperatures than Barcelona—check the forecast and dress accordingly. Bring water, especially in summer.

The tour is not wheelchair accessible, but service animals are allowed. For reduced mobility, contact us before booking to discuss arrangements.

Infants (3 years or younger) join free of charge but are not provided with car seats or meals.

Dietary restrictions or allergies are accommodated without advance notice.

We often work with boutique, family-owned wineries. Due to logistics, the winery may vary from Oller del Mas.

Tour timings are approximate and may vary due to traffic, weather, or unforeseen events. We recommend avoiding scheduling other activities immediately after the tour to allow for potential delays.

We follow all health and safety guidelines issued by authorities to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.

Once in Barcelona Nord Bus Station, check-in at our Castlexperience office. Arrive 20 minutes before the tour starts to check in before proceeding to the buses on the ground floor.

The tour was extremely well organized and all the guides were great. Carlos was our personal guide and he was extremely knowledgeable and you could see that he enjoyed doing this work. He gave us tips and had no issues answering our many questions. The tour of Montserrat is worth it and the wine tasting was great. We fortunately had decent weather for most of the time of the tour. No complaints a would go again.
We had an excellent time on this tour and would totally recommend to anyone. Lots of great sights and fun staff.

On December 26, 2025, my family and I participated in the "Montserrat Half-Day Tour with Tapas and Gourmet Wines". Toni was our English-speaking guide, and we enjoyed a wonderful half-day tour under his leadership. My daughters and wife don't drink alcohol, but they still had delicious grape juice to enjoy!

Vince was an amazing story teller. If I wanted someone to tell me the history of Monserrat or even why a wine is good, in a heartbeat I will choose Vince. His passion comes across and is quite infectious and it sets a high bar for any other tourist guide that I will have from hereon out. I cannot sing him enough praise but if you ever had the option to choose a tour guide, I urge you to choose Vince, you will never regret it!

I went on a half day tour of Montserrat with Tapas and a wine tour after as well. Thaís was my tour guide, and she made the entire experience very memorable. She was very well-versed in the history of Montserrat and also had very insightful information to share during wine tour and tapas lunch. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would recommend this to my friends.

It was a fantastic experience and Thaís was an experienced and knowledgeable guide. Apparently we got the best weather of the week for the views but it was very cold up top so we opted to visit the museum to keep warm.
