Here, visit the Montserrat Monastery and, if option selected, a boutique historic winery. Set within a 10th century castle, tour the vineyards and head to the wine cellar to learn about wine production and taste three exquisite wines and a local tapas lunch.

Tours start at 8:30 a.m. or 9:45 a.m. (depending on the season). Please arrive 20 minutes before the start time because check-in is required at our office before proceeding to the buses area.
Groups are limited to 20 people per guide, though in rare cases may increase to 22. Transportation is shared with other groups.
Comfortable clothes and walking shoes are recommended. Montserrat and the winery may have more extreme temperatures than Barcelona—check the forecast and dress accordingly. Bring water, especially in summer.
The tour is not wheelchair accessible, but service animals are allowed. For reduced mobility, contact us before booking to discuss arrangements.
Infants (3 years or younger) join free of charge but are not provided with car seats or meals.
Dietary restrictions or allergies are accommodated without advance notice.
We often work with boutique, family-owned wineries. Due to logistics, the winery may vary from Oller del Mas.
Tour timings are approximate and may vary due to traffic, weather, or unforeseen events. We recommend avoiding scheduling other activities immediately after the tour to allow for potential delays.
We follow all health and safety guidelines issued by authorities to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.

What To Expect
Once in Barcelona Nord Bus Station, check-in at our Castlexperience office. Arrive 20 minutes before the tour starts to check in before proceeding to the buses on the ground floor.

5.00My tour guide was Mariana Lopez and she was AMAZING! She went above and beyond, showing extensive knowledge on the Montserrat area, taps, and wine, and even gave us recommendations of local places within Barcelona. She was extremely friendly and made the experience amazing! The price was extremely affordable and it is perfect for a day trip - not too long or short, and you can still come back and enjoy your night in Barcelona. The atmosphere was great, everyone was extremely friendly and the crowd wasn't too big. It is best for all ages, as there were people aged as college students and above!

5.00The drive to Monserrat and views were spectacular high above the mountains. We had a great time and we experienced the Basilica with the black Madonna and able to hear the angelic singing of the boys choir. Then, to a lovely winery for wine tasting and tapas was very enjoyable and the winery was beautiful established in 954 with the same family over generations. Our guide Michaela was really good, informative and knowledgeable. Ask for her, she’s awesome!

5.00Our trip to Montserrat including the wine and tapas tasting was one of the highlights of our trip to Barcelona. The day started with a ride on a luxury bus with our Viator Guide pointing out memorable sites along the way. We had time in Montserrat to explore on our own the beauty of the Basilica with a chance to see the Black Madonna. We went in December so everything was decorated for Christmas, adding even more to the beauty and charm of Montserrat. After a few hours we were back on the bus and driven to a family winery for a tour, tastings and tapas. All in all, it was a lovely experience that I highly recommend.
