Here, visit the Montserrat Monastery and, if option selected, a boutique historic winery. Set within a 10th century castle, tour the vineyards and head to the wine cellar to learn about wine production and taste three exquisite wines and a local tapas lunch.

Tours start at 8:30 a.m. or 9:45 a.m. (depending on the season). Please arrive 20 minutes before the start time because check-in is required at our office before proceeding to the buses area.
Groups are limited to 20 people per guide, though in rare cases may increase to 22. Transportation is shared with other groups.
Comfortable clothes and walking shoes are recommended. Montserrat and the winery may have more extreme temperatures than Barcelona—check the forecast and dress accordingly. Bring water, especially in summer.
The tour is not wheelchair accessible, but service animals are allowed. For reduced mobility, contact us before booking to discuss arrangements.
Infants (3 years or younger) join free of charge but are not provided with car seats or meals.
Dietary restrictions or allergies are accommodated without advance notice.
We often work with boutique, family-owned wineries. Due to logistics, the winery may vary from Oller del Mas.
Tour timings are approximate and may vary due to traffic, weather, or unforeseen events. We recommend avoiding scheduling other activities immediately after the tour to allow for potential delays.
We follow all health and safety guidelines issued by authorities to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.

What To Expect
Once in Barcelona Nord Bus Station, check-in at our Castlexperience office. Arrive 20 minutes before the tour starts to check in before proceeding to the buses on the ground floor.

Enjoy a guided tour in Montserrat and visit all the highlights of the monastery by the hand of your local tour guide. You will then enjoy some free time to a palate some traditional foods made by Montserrat monks or farmers, as well as soaking in this special place where nature, culture and spirituality meet.

5.00Ale was a wonderful tour guide! Everything was super clear as far as meet up points throughout the day, which I was nervous about as a solo traveler. Ale, as well as all of the tour guides we had in the bus, were extremely kind, knowledgeable and funny. The views at Montserrat were incredible. The winery was also stunning! Thanks for a great day!

5.00Great experience! Alejandro was very personable and knowledgeable, sharing information about Montserrat, the vineyard we visited, and other things to do around Barcelona. I loved all of the the historical information that he and a colleague shared during the bus rides. I definitely recommend this tour if you'd like to get out of the city and see the beautiful mountains and countryside!

5.00We had such an amazing experience on this tour! Lina, our guide, was absolutely fantastic — super knowledgeable, friendly, and you could tell she really loves what she does. Everything felt so well organized from start to finish. We got to explore Montserrat, visit the basilica to see the Black Madonna, enjoy a delicious tapas lunch with wine tasting, and even relax at a gorgeous wine bar with beautiful scenery and sunshine. It was honestly such a perfect mix of activities. The bus was also really comfortable, and our driver got us to and from Barcelona safely. Definitely worth the money and such a memorable day!

5.00BEST tour we've done, this was something I was so undecided on but when I realized the pick up was minutes from our hotel figured the early start was doable and we could power nap on our way to Monsterrat. I'm so happy we did this tour because Lesly was fantastic. She was funny, feisty, highly informative and had the right energy for this tour. Montserrat was spectacular and just an interesting experience and the winery stop after was equally special. This tour was totally worth it, we were back with lots of time to still do evening activities. This was most certainly a 10/10 experience which thanks to Lesly made it just high marks. Her energy was unmatched and I immediately knew we were in for a great day. Definitely worth the value, early morning wasn't as crowded, and the views driving up and getting there was beautiful . May need a cardigan because it was slightly brisk early morning and dress appropriately to go into the church.

5.00Elena was wonderful! We both had a great time, and really enjoyed all of the history and Barcelona facts. I want Elena to narrate my life and teach me everything about wine. I wish we had the chance to go see the Black Madonna up close, but understand we missed the window due to an accident on the highway delaying us. The wine tasting and tapas were great! No notes, absolutely loved it.
