We enjoyed the small group of six. Everything was on time with just enough breaks to relax. David, our guide, was personable and knowledgeable. If you are worried about the "easy hike" - don't be. The path down is almost completely paved and grippy. If your knees are in good shape, then the gradual downward walk is truly easy. Once the clouds cleared, the views were spectacular. Personally, I would pay a little more to be picked up and returned to our accommodation.

We had a wonderful experience on this half-day trip to Montserrat. It’s a lovely place to get away from the city for a bit and learn about the history of Montserrat. Our tour guide was great with our children and enjoyed talking futbol with them! The cable car was a nice addition, and the hike was easy. Highly recommend!!

Guide was excellent and gave so much background and information. The monestary was so beautiful. Hiking down the mountain gave us up close views of the overwhelming beauty of the site The guide was patient if we had questions or wanted pictures. The tour size was also good .

The experience was wonderful. Our tour guide, Allen, made the visit so much more than it would have been without his knowledge of the monestary and the mountain. We got to see the Black Madonna in the cathedral. The vernacular ride was fun. Be aware that the walk down is somewhat steep and walking downhill can be a bit difficult but worth every step! Thanks, Allen!

Perfect day trip to Montserrat. Our tour guide Jaume was extremely personable and knowledge. The monastery and surrounding mountains are a can’t miss if you are visiting Barcelona. It was nice to be driven to the site since there have been issues with reliability of the local trains.

If you only have short time, this half a day trip is perfect. You get to see the main sights in Montserrant, and the hike down is a great way to see more views and get some exercise.

This day trip to Montserrat was a highlight of our time in Barcelona! It is so nice to have someone drive you straight to the location and give you so much interesting history about not only montserat but the people of Catalan . Our tour guide, james, was splendid in every way. Doing this in January was perfect. We did the early tour and basically had all the locations to ourself. It of course was cool but we dressed for it and I wouldn't do it any other way.
