The Moonshine Mountain Coaster is a unique, family-friendly thrill ride that puts you in the driver's seat. Race through the Smoky Mountains on our unique track with a brake system that puts you in control. And best of all, our tubular rails guarantee a smooth, comfortable ride every time!

What To Expect
The Coaster opened in December of 2014 and was the first coaster in Gatlinburg! We offer a beautiful and peaceful scenery in the Gatlinburg mountains and a thrilling ride down the mountain. The Coaster is approximately 5 minutes long from start till the exit, this includes about 3 minutes going uphill and 2 minutes riding down! We are located at: 306 Parkway Gatlinburg, TN 37738

4.00Visited in May during a weekend trip to Gatlinburg. The coaster itself is a fun ride through the forest, and you get to control your own speed, which adds to the experience. It’s reasonably priced for what you get, so I’d call it good value for money. That said, the actual ride only lasts about 5 minutes, which feels short once you factor in the wait and the trip out to get there. If you’re already in the area exploring Gatlinburg, it’s worth squeezing in, but I wouldn’t go too far out of your way just for this. A solid one-time experience.

5.00Very fun mountain coaster! It is in my top 5 mountain coasters! We went at night and my kids enjoyed it very much! Very smooth ride, staff were very friendly, and the line moved very fast! When I come back to the area, this is on my must do again list! Highly recommend!

5.00A Total Blast — Great Value & A Must‑Do! Moonshine Mountain Coaster was my introduction to the USA’s mountain‑coaster fun, and now I’m officially hooked. My girls are going to love this when I bring them back! I’ll admit it — my age was showing because the amount of caution I pulled on that first run was wild. But once you settle in, it’s an absolute blast. What really surprised me was the value: it’s not a quick “up and off” ride. You actually get time to settle into the track, find your pace, and enjoy the full experience without feeling rushed. I only wish I’d done the night ride too — that’s definitely on the list for next time. This is a fantastic option for families. They offer dual riders so the little ones can jump in with you, while the older kids can chase their own thrills solo. It’s the perfect mix of safe, fun, and flexible. The staff were amazing as well — friendly, patient, and really clear in explaining the whole process so you feel confident before you take off. That kind of support makes a huge difference, especially for first‑timers. Highly recommend a visit here. Go get yourself some thrills — this was honestly a highlight of my trip.

3.00The ride is pretty quick. It was fun but I suggest the multipass or unlimited pass if you are going to spend any time here. We did one ride with no line. It goes quick. If I had waiting in a long line it wouldn’t have been worth it. The carts have cameras on them which is fun but just another way to get you to shell out tons of money.
