The moose is the biggest mammal living in the Norwegian woods, but despite their size they can be difficult to spot. Together with our experienced guides - who know the area and of course the moose very well - your chances of seeing moose increases. During the safari, the guide will share knowledge about the moose (and how to find them!), other wildlife and natures impact on local culture. This experience is accessible for everyone no matter physical shape.

On this trip we will be searching for the king of the Norwegian wilderness, the moose. The moose safari begins with an introduction where the guide will both show and hopefully teach you some things about the animals and history in this area. Afterwards we drive off together in search of the moose. On the safari, the guide will bring a telescope and you have the option of renting a pair of binoculars. There's a high chance of spotting moose in this area, and the guide knows all the best places! It will be mostly driving, but we might walk some short distances. After the safari we will drive back to where we started. Note: Please keep in mind that moose are wild and therefore shy animals, which means that you need a bit of luck to get close. Even with our experience, it is impossible to predict how the safari will be, as every day is different.

We did the safari together with Jacob. We were with them 5and total. In the beginning we got a clear explanation about the 5 species. Then went with a van to 2 different spots. In total, we have seen 13 elk. Wash with us in the evening so dressing warmly is necessary! Overall had super fun and enthusiastic trip with lots of information. The dutch couple

Our guide was super friendly and very experienced as well as competent. He drove with us after an introduction about the animals to several places where we saw the moose through the telescope and in the end we had the moose right next to us - really great! The guide was very attentive to our wishes and did not look at the clock....only small criticism binoculars should be included...Thank you!

This experience was super fun and engaging. Even though we spent a lot of time in a minibus, the guide Rune was very friendly and cared about putting people at ease in the group. We were lucky and saw three big moose by the road, a male and a female with her baby. With the use of the telescope we were able to spot more. It was a bit cold and rainy but it didn't bother us at all. We also had the opportunity to see some animal parts, fur and skulls. Definitely recommended.

Very nicely made introduction around reindeer, moose etc., with chasing material. Then approach from various points. Be able to observe moose multiple times both here and on the go. Thanks again to our guide Jakob who did a great job.

I went on this moose safari at 19.00 on August 7th 2025. I really enjoyed it! Jacob, the guide, was very knowledgeable and we started with an interesting talk about the different hoofstock species of Norway and then we went out to a few different spots to see them. Definitely worth a visit. Moose are very skittish so I recommend either bringing or renting binoculars from the team to get a clearer view.

We expected more of it. It was a safari but we drove on the main road. Just sometimes a small way up to have a look at the beginning we found no elk. At the end we were able to see 3 from a very long way. The snacks is 1 piece of elk sausage and drinks was nothing. We're glad we can spot some of them. They were only clearly visible with the guide's binoculars.

It was really beautiful. We've seen a lot of moose. The guide was very nice and tried so hard and was hugely happy with us when the moose showed us. We learned a lot and he was always open to questions. All in all a great tour that we would do again and again and can recommend to anyone!

The guide was very friendly and helpful. He's been to us. Small snacks were served. We were able to observe moose from a distance and finally also closer. A great experience. Nice was that we were also only with 5 people. So we could all see well from the bus. They're doing a good job.

First there was an information round about the wildlife in Norway. There was a lot to learn. A lot was explained using real skins and hooves. Afterwards we took the bus to various vantage points. From there you could watch the first moose. Of course from a long distance, as the animals are very shy. Afterwards we tried to get as close as possible to the E6 by bus. The guide made a lot of effort and without him the observation of about 8 moose would not have been possible. With a good camera and telephoto lens, beautiful photos also come out. A successful tour!
